Does not seem like Klimovich or Zlodeyev is playing today.

Not a good game for Koskenvuo either. sigh. :(
I believe Canucks have said Klimovich will report to Canucks camp and then from there they will decide where he plays the rest of the year.

Manukyan was held off the stat sheet in his KHL game today, but after some tough seasons it's nice to see him playing outside of the VHL and MHL.

Koskenvuo got the win in a high-scoring affair with a .783 sv% and a 5.00 GAA.

It looks like we've had three Canucks prospects in action today.

Connor Lockhart got an assist in preseason play with the Erie Otters.

Artyom Manukyan was again held off the stat sheet in his game for Admiral Vladivostok but is playing around 11 minutes per night which is something for a prospect who's had serious injury issues the past couple of seasons.

Aku Koskenvuo had a shutout facing 20 shots to bring his season stats up considerably after that 5 goal start.

I think he's done as a prospect as far as I'm concerned. He's 23 and has shown no signs that he can produce offensively in the KHL.

I agree with this 100%. My criteria for a prospect is younger than 24 and not established as an NHL player. He'll drop off the list next season and we'll all forget about him.

Joni Jurmo has started his season. He wasn't on the scoresheet and went even in 18:51 of ice time.

Jonathan Myrenberg has played his second game going pointless with an even plus minus rating.

Dmitri Zhukenov was also pointless and even in 11:51 minutes of play.

Dmitri Zlodeyev, pointless in two MHL games thus far, played in the VHL being held off the scoresheet.

Manukyan played his 4th game getting a season-high 15:31 in TOI but has still yet to record anything. He has six shots and hasn't even recorded a PIM.

Costmar 1g -2 in his first game on Sat.

Curious to hear how he looks after that shoulder injury last year

Do the Canucks have a development camp this year? Seems all the prospects have already started playing with their respective teams...

I'm guessing we're not having a development camp this season simply due to the late start to the NHL season. It's just not worth disrupting a prospect's season unless you think they have a shot to stick in the NHL or they're playing in a league that hasn't started its season yet.

That said, while some prospects have started playing it's only a third of them with only eleven of thirty-one players having started their seasons.

so there are four whl vets coming to camp as rookies signed on ahl contracts which makes them basically second tier prospects. that is interesting. you leverage the abbotsford location to get prospects under contract without using nhl contract slots. have the eastern canadian teams been doing the same thing with their ahl teams?

I wonder if we ranked our top 20 prospects this offseason what that list would look like. Probably would get pretty tough pretty quickly as our prospect depth is pretty small after all these consecutive Cup contending seasons

most teams would get thin with a top 20 prospects.
rathbone, podz, juolevi, dipietro are still considered prospects so theres at least some. although one of those isnt like the others
