OK, and I'm not trying to be aggravating but I'm legitimately frustrated. How am I supposed to know. What sources am I supposed to check when I'm already checking the weather network and its forecasting 1mm rain (not snow) I don't have a smart phone so I don't have a weather app. Is there a better quality of forecasting one gets with an App?

Next, heres the Edmonton Journal forecast taken from Weather Network on paper yesterday.

Wednesday. Cloudy, High4 low -1. No snow in the icon, no mention of snow whatsoever, just a picture of a cloud.

Am I supposed to be interpreting the weather map?

I can't honestly tell you. I was chatting with my sister on the phone yesterday and she mentioned that they were expecting snow in the area after I mentioned we got hit.

The forecasts change by the minute so you probably just checked at the wrong time of the hour...haha.

I watch Global news in the morning while I'm getting ready for work in the morning. They've been mentioning the possibility of snow today since late last week I think.

I usually check environment Canada for an online source. Way more reliable than the weather network.

Amway Semifinal is a no go today due to the weather. They postponed it. Leg in Vancouver will occur next week as planned with final game here in 2 weeks time.

I'm sure the players are glad not to be playing in this. Fans as well.

I'm hibernating today. Refuse to come out of my man cave. Went to the first game of the season and it was a windstorm. Pro teams having more trouble keeping the ball in play than a kids game.

I go with Environment Canada and Josh Classen for my sources. I know EC put out a "Special Weather Advisory" yesterday afternoon. But since it wasn't technically a warning, Weather Network probably didn't post it through, not sure they do advisories.

I'm so pumped after watching the Canada vs. Sweden game, it didn't even bother me shoveling snow in May.

Touched down in Priddis headed towards SW Calgary. Neighbourhoods of Canyon Meadows and Lake Bonavista in the path. Scary stuff!
