I honestly thought Murphy was just making a joke.
I thought I was too, not a very good one apparently lol. I would welcome aarbez though but I'm not the only one calling the shots

Announcement: seventieslord has been asked to join the Edmonton Mercurys and is pleased to accept.
Just kidding.
What kind of champion doesn't even defend his title anyway?![]()
To be honest, I do think defending one's title is the sporting thing to do, if for no other reason than to let someone else take down the champ.
1. arrbez said he can only consult, because there will be times when he's not on for a week or two. 2. That's why I kept my Co-GM spot open for late comer vets, even though I had to pass on teaming up with many GMs I like who teamed up with others. 3. If you compare last year's roster to this years, many vets obviously needed a year off after what happened last year.1. In all seriousness, I think we need to find a way to get arrbez involved in running a team. 2. I don't like it when returning GMs who want to return are shut out, let alone the defending champ.
If someone still wants/needs a co-GM, as a rookie, I'd love to help. I'm on all the time and I don't mind (slash actually enjoy) newspaper research and that stuff.
I'm against 36 teams. We're past that at this point.
6 of 6?
what does that mean, we're "past" that?
Two conferences with each working:Then how would the playoffs work?
WAITING LIST:I'm against 36 teams. We're past that at this point.

So,...I thought newbies were actually required to co-gm with a vet since ATD2012 but I forgot there were already rookies in this draft that registered without co-gm.

It was an absolute requirement of ATD2012 for a rookie to team up with a vet, and that's what we made Hobnobs do.
We didn't really talk about it this time.
I can see the dilemma.
On one hand, the defending champ should absolutely be in the ATD to...well...defend his title
On the other hand, I don't necessarily agree with "forcing" new GMs to team with veterans in their first runs. I understand the logic behind it, but I think newbies should be allowed to be on their if they want to. I went solo in my first ATD here and I did pretty well.
