A tremendous coach and seemingly a good human being as well.

Thanks Claude!

He changed as a coach for the players of today but the system has to change when it's not functioning to a tee.

Much love Clode. Thanks for the past 10 years. I Think you were done wrong here. Should've been able to finish out the season. Not looking forward to the Butch era.

I saw Claude go by on the duck boats on boylston I think it was, gave him a congrats and he looked at me and gave a thumbs up , we were lucky to have him for awhile.

I think he's the coach we deserve, but not the one we need right now.

Having a coach with a bad NHL record will help the team in the long run by exposing the real weaknesses

Hopefully they do a better job of identifying NHL talent /handing out contracts and find a good coach ready to implement the right system for this crop and the new NHL so we can get back to being a contender FFS

Thanks Claude for all these years. Bruins were for a long moment one of the best team and fortunate to have been associated with you. They were fun to watch, structured and a big winning team. Good luck CJ

This firing saddens me, reminiscent of when they did it to Pat Burns. Thanks Claude, great coach and human being.

I guess it was your fault the lineup consisted of Hayes, Beleskey, Liles, the underachieving Backes, a grizzled Chara, immobiles like McQuaid / K Miller, damaged Bergy / Krejci and no backup goalie.

As the great Pat Burns once said it (albeit in a different context), off to hunt bear with a butter knife.

Enjoy a year off Claude and don't take another job until JJ has paid you to the last cent.

I grew up with the era of Boston being a coaching carousel. Was probably the best Bruins coach I ever seen and I will always be grateful to Claude for the important role he played in 2011 and us being an elite team in general for a few years.

I understand the firing, whether they are better off for doing I will believe when I see.

Claude will be fine I am sure he will go on to somewhere else and do well.

Thanks for the great memories...
The cup no one was expecting... and a huge percentage of fans won't see it again in their lifetime.
You are a winner, brought the winning mentality to a team that was lost.
You will be missed. Some of the fools don't know that yet.
You deserve better than these cowards of an organization.

All the best to a great man and a great coach.:handclap:

I actually think this is really well said.

Thanks for all your service Clode, I was very critical of you at many times, but your still a very good coach. Enjoy the time off, seriously.

Statement from Claude to Bruins fans

I would like first and foremost to thank the Bruins Organisation for allowing my family and I the privilege of spending 10 unforgettable years in Boston. We were proud to call this great city home for so long and will dearly miss it.

To the players, past and present, medical and equipment staff, doctors and communications staff, all of whom worked hard for the success of our club with a team-first mentality, I cannot thank you enough for your commitment through it all. From the game day security crew to the volunteers that I was fortunate enough to meet throughout the years, I thank you as well.

I certainly cannot sign off without thanking the people that made this time here so rewarding- the Boston Bruins fans. Your devotion, unmistakable passion, energy and support is what makes Boston the best sports city in the entire world!

In leaving this organization, what I’m most happy about and most proud of is being part of the team that brought the Stanley Cup back to Boston for the first time in 39 years. Sharing that journey and the Stanley Cup celebrations with our players, families, staff and our fans produced so many incredible memories that I will never forget. To all that were part of it and helped along the way, I want to express a heartfelt ‘thank you.’

Sincerely, Claude Julien

Best coach I have ever had the privilege of watching on a regular basis. Will be a long time before we get another one of this caliber.

Thank you Claude. Much respect for you in your time spent with the B's. Dark days when you took over and you were a key piece of the puzzle with getting to the top. Enjoy the paid vacation and find a team out West to get to the finals with.
