Sweeney suggested before the season that they were in touch with his agent about an extension but there hasn't been any updates since then. If he is willing to sign a fair extension, I'd be fine with keeping him -- but if re-signing him is not likely, I think Boston should trade him to the highest bidder to help re-stock their barren cupboards. What would your team be willing to offer for him?

I would give you K'Andre Miller for him, but I am not a big Miller guy.

Would the Bruins deal him to the Habs?

If they're looking for draft capital the Habs have that.

If they're looking for NHLers they don't.

Draft capital. NHL players

Boston has neither. They should take whatever comes their way tbh
Pezzetta, while not that tough is at least willing and in the dog house.

He's a thrown in, but a player. Boston has a better system, so he might look better there.

What pick(s) would the Bruins be looking for ?

I only mention Pezz because, again he isn't a good fighter, but he's physical and gets in there and I assume if the Bruins are trading Frederik they likely want some toughness coming back.

Understandable if the Bruins don't want him and would just prefer a pick to deal for someone else who's tougher, or just bring up Viel

Not sure the Bruins have a need for him since the fourth line is the only constant so far.

That said, i might still be interested and just praying a change of scenery brings a boost to his numbers. It’s not like the salary is an issue. Certainly couldn’t be a one for one.

Yeah, the Isles should give up more assets in that push to 8th place in the conference. Lou agrees.
Not giving a 1st rounder for him. But since you are being sarcastic about it. I don't think inquiring about a 26 yr old winger who has size, speed, forechecks and scored 18 goals last year can't help us long term.....ok, fine.
