Everything that is not done under American/NHL rules and timeperiod/tv times etc is not right/ or interesting. In my world its called arrogant

Love to see Boldy here. Really have to question Zegras and Caufield on this one..Boldy played 6 damn playoff games and still shows...and he was cut from a WJC spot in 2020 too.

I always liked Merrill. Felt his career should have been better than it was but happy he is here as blue line gets stronger.

Hartman scored more goals this year than the prior 3 years combined...maybe he found his scoring or maybe this is an anomaly but he is a strong add here.

We look a little less shitty now.

C.Jones is injured and has returned to States. In my understanding Nedeljkovic has some travel issues and that is a reason why he is not there yet. Same line-up today against Austria.
 
Nothing good to say about first period but least it was nice to see Marco Kasper.

Barber's penalty was a good example when IIHF refs needed to find something to whistle...
 
Austria going up 2-0 will probably be the best thing to happen to this team, get some urgency going and they respond with a goal right away.

Only proves that you can't sleep against any team in this tournament. This US team is not good enough to not try hard enough.
 
Against Latvia they got some weak goals but now when they not, it is the thing that worried me the most when this roster was announced. Who is going to score?

Yep. They have to also keep in mind the talent they do have here is still good enough to medal at this thing, not many world beaters at this thing this year, work hard with what they do have and stay focused and you never know what you can accomplish with this group.

But you've got to dig in and take every game seriously and get better each game.

While lacking top end firepower the players here are good enough to score enough to win games IMO but they will have to work hard for it and come together as a team. What's it called?.................winning ugly?
 
3-2 in overtime on a breakaway. They managed to avert a goal on a great chance by Austria prior to that to make it happen.
 
Ugly game and not really enjoyable to watch. Hartman and Boldy can't arrive soon enough. Hopefully they can add another impact forward with their last skater role, and maybe a guy like Swayman if Nedeljkovic doesn't join the team.

Yikes. Just finished the taped game. Not good. Hopefully we’re building but we’re VERYYYY slow
