So is Nedeljkovic out of the tournament too?
Maybe some health minor health issues? He can still be added to the roster later.

I had no idea we had an exhibition game?
I feel more out of touch with USA Hockey than I have since I really started following in 2002/2004ish.
The Olympics issues has absolutely ruined my interest.
So potentially US could grab 3 players now. Keeping my fingers crossed but again won't hold my breath.
Respect for what? Are you effing serious States?
This year, you got almost every star that not qualified for SC playoffs available.
Brady, Zegras, Terry and Patrick F****** Kane!
You NEVER won the Worlds! You are not Canada and this is one of the year you might go for it and you fluffed it with that kind of rosters?
The Worlds are one of the TGC tournament! Have some f****** respects. Geez....
Okay. So, never dream to have a TGC member ever for US... or ever be the best in the sports or ever expand the sport.. Got it, TQ for that "closet elite mentality" like this.Respect for what?
I have very little interest, frankly. Guess the players feel the same way.
This will always be a Euro tournament. It isn't best-on-best, it's always been much more prominent in Europe than NA, it's "going home" for European players. For NA players, particularly Americans, I suspect there's not much attraction in jumping on yet another plane for a transatlantic flight this time, with way more jet-lag at the end of a long, draining season, for yet a few more weeks of hockey, with not much at stake. National hockey pride just isn't on the line all that much.
A legit Olympics? A best-on-best World Cup (or whatever they'll call it)? Totally different story. Everyone will be begging to play.
It's your lucky day, acronym man. Ignored.Okay. So, never dream to have a TGC member ever for US... or ever be the best in the sports or ever expand the sport.. Got it, TQ for that "closet elite mentality" like this.
I doubt World Cup will never ever be comparable to World Championships. The latter one is a tournament with enormous history. A special spring sports festival. Being on place more than 10 times I know that it is special. It is not like FIFA World Cup (stars and stuff), but it is huge. Always the building of the teams and that is first thrills. Who will come, what kind of teams will show up. Then the feeling on the streets. With fans in hockey jerseys filling the streets and pubs. IIHF tournament is one of the oldest if not the oldest Worldwide Championships around for any sports.A best-on-best World Cup (or whatever they'll call it)? Totally different story. Yes, I've seen videos. The fans are crazy, the atmosphere is fantastic. Looks like a great time. I'd love to attend sometime, even though I personally have relatively little interest in terms of the hockey itself.I doubt World Cup will never ever be comparable to World Championships. World Cup is randomly organized event with good rosters, but only that. Last time strange collectives were making it more confusing. A tournament of the best hockey players? Nah... Stanley Cup is that.
Wow... that "north american" elitist mentality comes through blatantly..Yes, I've seen videos. The fans are crazy, the atmosphere is fantastic. Looks like a great time. I'd love to attend sometime, even though I personally have relatively little interest in terms of the hockey itself.
To reiterate - the World Championship is a Euro tournament. Only the most fanatical American hockey fans, posters on HF for example, are even aware it exists. It's similar to the WJC in that regard.
Only best-on-best tourneys, regardless of their lack of historical significance in Europe, will have the best American players.
The "strange collectives" you refer to were the NHL's way of providing a team for players from the many relatively minor European hockey nations and to showcase the incredible young talent recently injected into the league at that time. Although I applaud their creativity, I doubt we see such gimmickry in future.

That's because the World Cup was never held regularly. You had the inaugural event in 1996, then an 8-year wait until the next one (literally right before the lockout season), and then another 12 ****ing years before they slapped together two joke teams.
If the NHL had done it properly and every 4 years from the very beginning (1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, etc.) none of that would be an issue right now.
World Cup 2004 for example was a very cool tournament. World Cup 2016 was spoiled by the two gimmick teams.
USA is not a National country any more, its a imigrant country and more faster than ever before, so for sure they don't have a national feeling, like you see in EuropeRespect for what?
