Why is it always like this? Like 75% of the Swedish top players are injured in time for the tournament. At least one positive is Grönborg has managed to grow a good relation with the NHL'ers, not like previous disaster coaches who barely even watched a NHL game. Then there was just a bunch of undisclosed declines from NHL.

This team isn't good enough for gold right now, sadly. Maybe they can do an upset and play a great team game, they have alot of engine players on the team. We might need some players from KHL now.

I guess we should be happy with two golds in a row.

Why? The best ahlers is a step up from shl and khl

No, it's not. Olofsson didn't all of a sudden become WC quality just because he switched league. I'd rather invite the top players from Europe who were clearly better than him last season. Pettersson will have his spot on the PP anyway.

I disagree, scoring 60p in ahl is impressive. He is currently whc quality with all the declines we had. I rather see him instead of players like lander or pääjärvi ( if they get invited)

Just my opinion though.

Lundqvist is a downgrade from Markström, and you know he wouldn't have accepted if he wasn't promised the starter job. I hope he screws up in the group stage and Markström gets to replace him for the rest of the tournament.

Of course Markström should have starring role but hoping that living legend who Lundqvist certainly is, that he screws up badly in his likely derniere in national team is really embarrassing.

Henrik can't do that. He has no experience in screwing up.

If 13 players out of 50 gets on the team and we have 40 more playing... then 8-9 more players should accept.

It's more embarrassing to lose because you reward an inferior goalie with the starter job based on old career merits. Lundqvist is not the best man for the job anymore, it's time to move on.

Roster to the Finland games announced. Jesper Bratt is on the team.
