Team officially unveils new name - Utah Mammoth

Avalanche is capable of being pluralized but I think it actually rolls more easily off the tongue as singular "Avalanche."
Kraken is both the singular and plural form of the noun.
Lightning is a mass noun. "Lightnings" is technically a word but sounds weird, whether the name of a sports team or not.
Wild can go either way. "Wilds" sounds strange for the name of a sports team, but a phrase like "into the wilds" is natural.
Mammoth is the outlier to me. I know what they're going for, but I still don't like it not being pluralized.

I don't really know why I wrote this response.
This isn't necessarily directed towards you. But Mammoth is also an adjective, like "That person is mammoth!" Or "That person is wild!" I don't think the word mammoth was created because of some bones we found.

Anyway, someone said an extra color.I agree.I thought about it for awhile and I thought maybe for a 3rd/alternate add some bronze or Copper color. Utah has a big copper history

After watching some of the playoffs and Worlds , I can say that at least the broadcasters aren’t going to struggle calling us the Coyotes, and putting a dollar in the jar

They are trying not to call us the UHC …

I do got to say that Mammoth just seems to roll off the tongue and just “seems” right

When you hear these guys , you feel that the team has been called that for years.
