Seemingly, almost every sensible name has already been considered, and most have been rejected. FWIW, I'd like to resubmit the name "Swarm." Synchronizes with the Beehive State, and a lot of marketing potential with iterations of very angry bees.

Otherwise, the Outlaws are fine with me. I do wonder how "family friendly" that would be from a marketing standpoint.

I just hope they pick something original and unique

List of ones I don't like
Swarm - sorry, sounds like a women's basketball team name (aka Fever, Storm, Sky, Dream, Sparks)
Venom - sorry, bee's have venom, but its more associated with snakes
Hive - sorry, just a bad name
Blizzard - sorry, just lame

Outlaws - is ok, but certainly not original

I'm a stats guy, so 'zero' creativity, so don't have anything to offer in way of a name, but I do know what I don't want the name to be.

But they do have to pick a name, can't leave it with just Utah Hockey Club

When Schmaltz and Keller are really on their game , they are like magic out there with their chemistry. so was thinking something like that with showmen, illusionists, elites, Jesters, Wizards etc...

I vote for Bobcats or renaming antelope island to bison island and going with Utah Bison. I love the bison on antelope island down by the water, even if antelope island is a gross bug fest.

If you're throwing "Elites" on your list might as well include "The Utah Premiums" :cool:

So the only 3 names in the updated fan poll will be

Hockey Club
Mammoth
Wasatch

That makes the decision pretty easy IMO. Seems like a way to involve fans yet still arrive at the owners preferred name.

Been saying from the beginning that Ryan Smith wants Utah HC and has been including it in every next round of the “fan vote”. I seem to remember that every public fan vote since the start had Utah HC towards the bottom of the results, yet here it is in the final 3 somehow.

While I agree it's the classiest, and all teams should kinda go by that, it's not really and nhl hockey thing.

Weird to change the standard model.

id prefer All teams go by the standard vancouver HC , nyr HC, or some variation of it. Have the extra name of "the leafs" or "the canucks" or "the mammoth" as a side piece to help sell tickets or bring in kids.

I wrote the above before reading that
-voting will take place in arena and design concepts will be included
-Hockey Club and Wasatch will have sasquatch designs, Mammoth won't

I thought Mammoth was the obvious name choice of those three, but knowing that it's up against the sasquatch designs, it doesn't stand a chance.

I don't want to be too much of a negative Nancy but these three choices are all absolutely horrible. Just pick some plural animal or living thing that ends in an "s" and sounds sort of normal. Outlaws, Mountaineers, Condors, buy Coyotes from Meruelo. There are decent options out there, it doesn't have to be one of these three.

Just saw the logos. Wasatch and HC are the same logo. Looks like the usual yeti logos people have posted before where it's blended with mountains looking right.

Mammoth logo is pretty cool, just a mammoth head with tusks looking right as well

Both logos are mostly black with blue/white accent.
