Välimäki vould be interesting as well. Is he playing in some junior playoffs now or something, does anyone know?
Highly doubt he is getting a look anyways when Juolevi didn't. I think Marjamäki wants to try Jokiharju as a pp specialist (where he is better than Väkimäki) and otherwise playing sheltered 5v5.

NHLers have declined to play, but I would be sceptical anyways if that wasn't a case because of Marjamäki. Looking at the other top countries' rosters... it's not looking promising... like it really isn't . Hopefully we will avoid relegation rounds at the bare minimum.

There hasn't been a relegation in the Men's WHC for nearly a decade now. (Which is why it's really puzzling why some people *still* haven't got the memo.) The team that finishes last in each group will be automatically relegated.

Ok, I assumed the system would work similarly in every tournament under IIHF (for example to WJC). No need to be a dick about it. Good news that Korea is in the same group.

Bullcrap.

But it is not.

After I posted that here then people at Jatkoaika have been saying that they've heard similar things. Some say it's only been a verbal abuse but I know several persons who were at that room and I can without certainty say that there have been some kind of physical altercation. And other players had to seperate them.

Finnish media been known to make news about my post in the past so probably some reporter will hear about it but you know people don't tell secrets from inside the locker room to media reporters.

Poster at Jatkoaika that also climas to know people said there was a verbal conflict after the tournament without the rumoured h-word.

Also bullshit on the latter bolded part. Your posts at Jatkoaika were equally without any basis.

zibanejad, pääjärvi and jacob de la rose all have suomi parents. they could have been on this team instead.

Whatever you want to believe. I haven't been in the room but I know what I've been told.

The fact remains that there has been such severe conflict that it's in the talks around the cities. People know the names so even in the mildest case it's been something.

Another fact is that if I didn't post about it the Internet world wouldn't know about it.

I'm actually quite surprised how little leak into the Internet.

I heard that the Olympic team had been so impressed with their coach that they collectively bought him a big box of chocolates and a seasonal gift card to foot massage. Hartikainen even asked if he could order a custom body pillow in Marjamäki's image so he could fall asleep in Late's warm embrace every night from then on, but the coach found it - a little - too creepy.

All a fact, and it would have been a shame if the world didn't know about it. Now it does.

I found following article on 'YLE' newspaper:
"Marjamäki jatkoi rohkeaa linjaansa ja valitsi puolisokkona 18-vuotiaan superlupauksen Leijoniin: "Aika vähän olen nähnyt hänen pelejään"

"Päävalmentaja Lauri Marjamäen mukaan yliopisto- ja juniorisarjoissa pelaavien pelaajien tuominen Leijoniin on ollut "tietyllä tavalla" tietoinen valinta."

Suomen jääkiekkomaajoukkueen päävalmentaja Lauri Marjamäki on tänä keväänä tehnyt rohkeita pelaajavalintoja. Hän on tuonut Leijoniin pelaajia sarjoista, jotka ovat yleensä olleet A-maajoukkueen tutkan ulkopuolella.

Unfortunately I don't understand finnish, so I have to try with the google translator. Though this translator is not very useful for translation from Finnish in German it gives me at least an idea what it's possibly saying. I don't put the whole article here only the beginning. If I understand the google translator correctly Marjamäki tries it with young university players or players who has never played for the NT so far because the earlier coaches didn't pay attention to them. Is that correct?

Mostly he says he is knowingly trying out something different (says he hasn't seen too many of Jokiharju's games). And then the article states that the NA NCAA/junior leagues aren't usually scouted by the Men's national team, which makes sense. Why would they bring kids to mens' games.

I really don't understand why Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen make the fans wait this long. Commit to the team already!

I was just going to say the same thing. I think they are playing Fortnite so they haven't had time to decide.. lol.

I wouldn't rule out them wanting to skip the training camp and play only at the tournament. Because I think the federation would want them at the camp ASAP, thus I think they're playing time.

Bummer about borgstrom. The ncaa season only lasts like 40 games so he’d be relatively fresh. Should be a player too look at for the NTs future though

So, Raanta, Puljujärvi, Granlund, Lehtonen have also declined - is that right? :help:
Raanta, I think had a slight injury? Not sure. Granlund as in Markus? Yeah, he is injured. As for Mikael, I actually think he could join if/when Wild get knocked out. Puljujärvi, fairly obvious why he won't come. Had a rough season and really needs time to practice. Lehtonen, didn't he just get a new kid? No doubt wants to spend time with his family.

I think our best hopes are getting the likes of Koivu, Mi.Granlund, Nutivaara and Vatanen. Rantanen would be great, but might be playing with an injury at the moment so...

Also, Aho and Teräväinen still haven't said this or that. Some say it's a bad sign, but I really don't know if it is. If they were inclined to decline, why can't they just get it over with, like all the other no-shows?
