Why is Detroit helping Tampa? There's an actual chance they could meet in the playoffs...
Oh I remember, I just don't see the hype around this player. These are the types of players who you can get for $5-6m every July 1st, not the type of players you give up top prospects for. The fact that he's now been traded twice (once for a 3rd+4th, and now for a late 1st) proves that.It was universally panned by Jackets fans immediately as the wrong player to move. Widely considered one of Jarmo's most monumental blunders.
Every club was capped out. You have to remember summer 2022 - after the signings, every team that was willing to spend was hard up against the cap, except for Seattle.
Could be one of those quid pro quos that comes later. Detroit's window is just starting to open and Tampa's is about to close. They may face each other this year and every team wants to win the cup every year but sometimes you have to be realistic about your chances. I don't see Detroit beating Florida in the Eastern Finals or beating anyone in the Final. Not this year. Why is Detroit helping Tampa? There's an actual chance they could meet in the playoffs...
Brisebois really hates his draft picks. Amazing.
where is Tarasenko now? how is he doing for you guys this year?We paid a third rounder for Tarasenko last year lol
Yup. It depends on which player the 1st+2nd was for. If it's for Bjorkstrand as others have loved to point out.. yikes. Probably could've had a rental Boeser for that, and then go out and sign one of the half dozen Bjorkstrand comparables that hit UFA every year for $6m or less.
Shot will be the next couple of years. With all of our players locked up, we are gonna have shopping money in July. And Bjork will still be under contract. No 1st round pick until 2028, Tampa has empited the cupboard but they are taking their shot good for them.
Its just stevie y continuing to work his magic in tampa bayCould be one of those quid pro quos that comes later. Detroit's window is just starting to open and Tampa's is about to close. Realistically, there's no window when Hedman can't handle #1 duties no matter what we do. That's been true for 10 years. The window has always been Hedman.Tampa has nothing left in the cupboards. Window has a couple years left.
That worked out real well for you, 6 whole goals in 19 games!

He won a cup, mate. His point couldn't be any better if he tried.where is Tarasenko now? how is he doing for you guys this year?

Well you obviously aren’t paying any sort of attention if you look at the trade in a vacuum…Took Bjorkstrand only 3 years to increase his value from a 3rd and a 4th to a first.
Understand it from Tampa's pow but that's simply a pretty serious overpayment.
