I had TB as a darkhorse to win the Cup this season - they are loading up now.

The Atlantic is absolutely brutal.

If you add a team like NYR too who'll get Fox back and will have a renewed sense of playing making the playoffs, that's a very brutal 4 teams on that side of the bracket. The Metro bracket winner is going to get carved in the conference final

to be fair this is potentially what we could have gotten in the old format anyway since Washington has a massive points gap. The injustice would be if the current standings hold form since Tampa/Florida is a possible frigin first round matchup.
Washington winning the president's still allows for an all Florida ECF.

Lets say the standings finish as:

1. Washington
2/3. Toronto/Florida
4 or 5. Tampa

If all 4 of those teams won their first rd matchup (bold of me to assume Toronto would, but for the sake of argument...), the 2nd rd would be Washington v Tampa and Toronto v Florida.

You clearly have an agenda to diminish the return here -he’s a very valuable player for his cap hit. That being said there’s a non zero chance retention on both happens… you clearly
don’t know the player if you’re making comments like this. Unless the first round equivalent plus is coming back they’re not trading Bjorkstrand who is one of their best players with a year more on the contract. Then add whatever gourde is worth.

Since they don’t have a first this year, this is probably one of their top prospects plus future pics or more than one prospect
I don't have an agenda at all. Bjorkstrand was traded for what.. a 2nd and/or a 3rd to Seattle? I don't see what he's done to improve his value since that trade to warrant a Geekie/Howard level prospect in return. No agenda here, I have no horse in this race

It's a damn shame that once again thanks to Bettman's brilliant playoff format we'll be robbed of having the best two teams face-off in a conference final. Feels like this has happened damn near every year since the format change
The Division format is so stupid. Literally no one wants it - players, fans, teams, no one.

TB and FLA are the two best teams in the East. We will probably get them squaring off in round 1. It will be a fantastic series, but a shame it's not the ECF.

You can just say you don’t have enough knowledge of the players involved to be able to make an informed decision… it’s ok… no one faults you for that…

You continue to show that you don’t know anything about the player… He was traded cheaply because Columbus signed Johnny Gaudreau on a huge contract and need to dump a salary

He’s been a key player for Seattle and was amazing during their playoff run. He will not come cheaply and is an excellent player. Tampa super smart to trade for him, but it’s not going to be cheap. You’re not getting him for a two and three.

Not really. The Rangers aren't good. I don't rate them at all.

The Metro bracket overall is very weak. I don't think anyone in the Metro really has the capability to win the Cup.

TIL 8 points in 14 games is "amazing"

He was traded cheaply because it wasn't a great contract. Its not a terrible contract, but it certainly shouldn't add value because he's signed longer and not a rental

OK bro… Get the point you’re not willing to hear facts. I guess we’ll just take your opinion over someone like myself wgo actually watch the player in person for the last three years as a season-ticket holder… And knows the details of why the trade went down in the first place when they got him and follows the team insiders who know what he is worth as a player and what they’re looking for to trade.

But good for you

The metro bracket is terrible lmfao. Washington is having a great season but they look like overachievers, the Hurricanes have their worst roster in years, the Devils aren't scaring anyone... Miller and Shesterkin could easily come out of that division on their own.

Doesn't matter, once you're in all bets are off and they have a goalie who's historically shown he can steal series in the playoffs.

Do tell, what are these "facts" I'm missing?

50 pt players don't (or shouldn't) hold top prospect value. Thats not the ridiculous take you're making it out to be
I think you considering Bjorkstrand as a 50 point player tells me that you are not looking at anything past the points. That and the fact that it is very likely that Seattle will retain 50% and Bjorkstrand will be available for 2 playoff runs.
