He was Koskinen's back up when he played over 30 games in a row. Stolarz was given one start to try n give Koskinen a rest. Stolarz got lit up n chased out of the net by the end of the 1st period
It's what happened back then, one goalie with above 50% win rate? Run them into the ground and never play the backup once ever!

Wasn’t he the guy that had Long Covid and wasn’t able to play the entire time he was here?

Edit: I’m thinking of Alex Stalock. I don’t remember Stolarz here at all now. lol, I’ve been good over the years at being able to block out and forget about Oilers failures.

Nurse Dermott? Okay we lose.

What kind of decision making decides to play Dermott over Philp or Savoie? Is it purely justified by accrued cap?

With old men Ryan and Perry and now Arvidsson injuries are going to start, this team shouldn’t be running 12F. I don’t really understand what management is doing. Its going to start costing us games.

The whole accruing cap space is hurting this team. If they wanted to accrue space, they needed to make actual moves to obtain cap space. Running thin rosters isn’t the way imo.

I also don’t really understand if they are so hell bent on accruing cap space, why Dermott is on the NHL roster at this point.

Pickard posts 900+ and Skinner gets the next start for whatever reason.

I’d be surprised if we won tonight. Dumb decisions.

I expect this team to lay an egg on national tv against the leafs

You don't like repetitive songs about breaking up with boys? lol

I personally get so sick of seeing her everywhere. May daughters are 9, but not "Swifties" at all.

I'll give her props for having a clean image and seemingly being a good role model I guess.
That’s not her fault though it’s the media. Don’t know why people get so worked up over other people’s lives

Stolarz was here the year Hitchcock was coaching

Story of his career lol

We signed three veteran top six forwards this off-season (Skinner, Arvidsson and Henrique) and all the talk was about how Draisaitl would have the best line mates he's ever had. We're now one month into the season and Drai's been stapled to Podkolzin who was the 13th forward for the Canucks last season and is on one of the league's longest goalless streaks amongst forwards (37 games). He hasn't looked threatening in our top six at all.

And then people wonder on here why we are dominating games but can't score. Maybe because we're playing scorers in the bottom six and fourth liners in the top six?

I remember stolarz playing for the oil but had to look up the details. He played 6 games going 0.897/3.77 in 18-19 season behind koskinen and Talbot. Shocking he actually played 6 games. I assume he didn't start any or was relieved pretty early.

Thats surprising that he played 6 games. I dont really recall him playing any. Pretty sure he was traded for Talbot. I recall us running Koskinen into the ground despite having basically no shot at making the playoffs.

Stolars for Toronto had to be one of the easiest scoutings of all time. Just look him up on hockeydb and be like let’s try this guy.

f*** Toronto. Hope Austin gets a puck to the face. No injuries though, I guess…
lol what? That is kind of harsh man lol

He isn't playing. His back or tummy is hurting still.

I looked at their forum the other day and all they talked about was how EDM is an OT merchant and etc lol. It's like they have not watched our games for the past 2 years

We have lost the last 4/5 in TO. I remember Nurse scoring in an OT, maybe that was the last win?

They seem like they all sh** the bed in TO. And how can we forget that McLoed pass to Marner in front of the net.....worst pass I have ever seen.

Funny how the coach starts the worse goalie too. Idiot decision.

I don't think he played a full 60. Pretty sure 5 of them was him coming on in relief, and the one start he had, he got yanked after 1 period.
