He seems like a decent person and went through a horrible thing in his life, but he is not helping our team in the least.
maybe this system doesnt fit well with his play. he did score a bit on the Canucks... maybe NYR thought they were getting his younger brother back

Pyatt is Brad Isbister 2.0 and he's been terrible for all but about five games this season, and none of those were anytime in the recent past. Instead of Pyatt and Boyle, we could have kept Fedotenko. Mistake.

Was passable against Montreal. Otherwise, he's just a warm body.

He's been a terribly inconsistent, mediocre player virtually his entire career, and he usually plays with scrubs this season that are just as bad as he is, if not worse.

Yeah, I can't hate him because I really think that he's not over the tragedy with his fiancee' (who can be?), but he really looks crappy out there. I wish him the best of luck and my thoughts are with him as he continues to deals with that horrible tragedy, but the NHL is a business and he can't play for the Rangers. He's a terrible hockey player.

i think if he wasnt over the tragedy he would have taken a year off like D.Moore did who also had to deal with a tragedy. i wonder if D.Moore will retire or play next year.. hated that stupid trade for another warm body Adam Hall but hey he looks decent after he left the Rangers

I guess every player deals with it differently. Maybe Pyatt plays the game to get his mind off of the tragedy. I don't know.
And as for the last sentence...haha, nothing new. Seems like many former Rangers had/have played extremely well.

i was a fan of his till his play as a Ranger
i thought he would be a pesky winger. throwing his weight around every now and then and being in front of the net on the pp.. kinda when he was on the Canucks. always thought with better talent he would fit better. trade him for a prospect or something useful. dont trade him just to trade him. his contract isnt much and Rangers dont have depth at LW at all..

The guy is awful but lets not overstate. The garbage we have seen come through the pike in the last 10 years at a more expensive price far outweighs the blip on the awful screen Pyatt provides.

I said hes in the top 10 from the last decade. Do you disagree with that? No i dont have a system to measure that, it is an opinion, and my opinion is that i wouldn't be able to name 10 other names besides him that I feel had been as useless among regular players. Would you be able to name 10?

he reminds me a lot of Frolov or Marcel Hossa in that, he plays the boards pretty well...but does **** all else.
At least those two could pull off a nice offensive move here and there to make you think they would break out

that's just a few.
Pyatt is probably better than them all (except for Jokinen, Drury, Blowmez, and Redden in their primes).
Well i disagree with most of those. At least some of them brought SOMETHING. Players like Olli? Rucchin? Drats? Voros? Lisin? Drury? Hossa? Struds? Hossa? Miro? Fro? Some were just draft busts that shouldnt be in it, Dawes, Lund, Balej...players brought in to be 6/7 man shouldnt be included, Woywitka? the others id put all in front of Pyatt who hasnt brought anything.

He's not being a jerk, he's just a very sarcastic life-long Ranger fan who has been through the ringer with this team. You should check out his Ranger crisis shows on YouTube, hilarious stuff. I also disagree with Taylor being in the worst 10 Rangers of the decade. There was Redden, Jessiman, Mironov, Ballej, Rupp, Brashear, Montoya, Malik, Anson Carter, Frolov, Kotalik....you get my drift. If Pyatt was earning more than 2 lemons a season, then it would be different. You can't teach size, and he has it.
