14m is a lot of moeny to live out a dream. Thank goodness he has a bout 2m in Endorsements per year to square it up.
Still remember when Babs and Lou came abroad, we all hoped that we win the Matthews lottery, signs Stammer, then somehow draft Lilj despite just missing the playoffs then when lure JT as the final piece for the dynasty. Can't beleive three of them are actually part of the Leafs.
I've been thinking the same.Style-wise I think Nylander with JT and Marner with matthews is a better bet.
Guys i dont know much about Liligren - but is he a legit future D stud? When will he be on Leafs?
I know we don't need to, but I would love to see the Leafs sign Jumbo Joe to a 1 year deal just to rub salt in the wound even more.Ladies and gentlemen, the definition of Salty:

As long as Babcock is coaching them, they'll continue to flame out.also having a bottom-5-in-the-league Defense and below average goaltender. Tavares doesn't improve the team, like at all.
LOL
I've been thinking the same.
He's rounding out his game, he is developing well, he reminds me a lot of Kaberle, especially with his cross ice passes and him holding the puck on the PP. Still a bit of a project though.Guys i dont know much about Liligren - but is he a legit future D stud? When will he be on Leafs?
First time posting on these boards after more than 2 months since losing my daughter to stillbirth. Though I would congratulate my fellow Leaf fans on this epic signing, hopefully Tavares and co can bring the cup to back to Toronto.
I cracked open the door to the Islanders John Tavares watch thread and singed every hair on my body. Enter with caution, there's some caustic, very personal posts happening in there.
Tavares + Marner and Matthews + Nylander are both top ten duos in the league i'd say
Happy Canada will forever be known as Happy John Tavares Day at least in TO it will. !!!!!!!!!

we always dreamed about the home town superstar coming home and taking a home discount....
and it finally happened
I think it all starts with Tim and the 2013 melt down...

Amazing where we are now
With Tavares gone now its going to be real interesting to see how Barzal fares now that hes going to be consistently going up against the opposing teams best players and #1 D pairing.
