Remember how crushed leafs nation was when Tavares went #1 in 2009? Especially after the Burke antics to get him?

We didn't know it at the time, but this route was so much better. Had we actually got Tavares that day, we wouldn't have gotten Nylander, Marner or Matthews years later and built the team into a contender without him. Adding him could potentially put us over the top in the next couple of years.

Can't wait for this season!
