Are there any bigger homer announcers than the Bruins? You just know what he was going to say at the end of the clip.

"and if he makes a hit similar to this"

I'm guessing what was about to follow is "Marchand gets a penalty/suspension."

he made no effort to push Marchand's upper body back against his leg, that's tripping, not slew footing.

You, sir, obviously arent familiar with the pens announcers. Actually i think the bruins announcers do usually spend some time talking about the opposition.

Jack and Brick ARE homers - I'll fully admit (well - Jack WAY more than Brick)...

BUT - they ABSOLUTELY do:

A) know their jobs... You'd be hard-pressed to find a guy who does more homework on opposing players than Jack... Everything from pronunciations of names, to histories to stats... The guy flat out knows what he needs to know.

B) are not afraid to "gush" about an opposing teams players...

Good lord... One game against the Rangers last year, Jack was fawning over Rick Nash more than might be deemed appropriate.
Nash scored a goal and I distinctly heard Jack in the background ask for a napkin and a smoke.

I'm not Russian, so I don't know if he's wrong, but he's the only announcer in the league who pronounces Kulikov "koo-LEE-kov"

Any of the incidents come to mind when thinking why people do not like him?

Thank you for the video evidence I really needed that... Anyway, I never said I don't understand why people don't like him, but if the roles where reversed people on here would flip.

I don't even dislike Marchand to be honest. Now I need you to answer a honest question....Any of those hits I posted come close to what JT did? The are no where near the same. Again, I like Marchand and JT deserved 2 minutes.

sorry, I did not see anything that equals what a "slew foot" is

what I did see was march jump on some guys back when he was on this ice(in the slot) and crossed checked him in the kidneys.

is that the penalty and fine we are debating here>?

He is a bugger for sure, don't think Subban/Marchand was a slew foot nor was Tavares. Both are deliberate trips. 2 minute penalty providing it is not going into the boards

Marchand getting a little taste of his own medicine is a good character builder for him..

Doesn't warrant anything but a penalty, slewfoot done when both players are pretty much stationary isn't a dangerous play
