Hell baby
A little bit of a trip by JT, a little bit of embellishment by Marchand. It all evens out.

 Give me a break

Also, love the general mantra of this thread. "Hey you can murder Brad Marchand with an ice pick and drown his puppy in bleach, that's alright though because it's Brad Marchand he has it coming"

It was a blatant penalty that the refs missed, pretty incompetent on their part but whatever. It's par for the course.

You can do whatever you want to a guy, so long as he has the name 'Marchand' or 'Chara' on his jersey.

If you want to call every little thing against the Bruins, that's fine but at least call the blatant ones against them.

It's really just insanity the abuse he takes night in and night out. IF IT'S A PENALTY CALL THE ****ING PENALTY FOR CHRISTSAKES, doesn't matter who the player is.

That's tripping not a slewfoot. He did not use any upper body to pull or push back on Marchands upper body, plus he only got 1 foot....

Exactly. A trip. Not sure players get fined or suspended for trips.

Fine incoming?

Twenty eight other teams would pay it.

Besides, who cares about a fine? What is it to you or I?

Have always loved Marchand's game (and the manner in which it annoys some here); love Tavares, or any star, showing anger, chippiness/over the line play on occasion. Others can have the homogenized, sanitized league they pine for.

I watched the game, and I didn't even notice that. I honestly thought the video would be about Tavares interfering/tripping Marchand in the B's defensive zone in the slot at the 2-3 minute mark. Between this incident, and the one I explained, the one incident I really had an issue with was Strome slashing and breaking Pastrnak's stick before the puck was dropped in a face off with 2 referees looking right at the incident, but there was no call.

Slewfooting does not require pull or push. Read the rule one person posted on this thread already. That is slewfoot, tripped ppl don't fall on their back.

Ok , so every time player falls on it's back it a slewfoot and if a player falls forward its a trip. Perfect.

Probably not worth more than a 2 minute minor for tripping.

But again last night, between this, the Strome slash on Pastrnak and the Clutterbuck interference on Krug that sent Krug to the locker room, all of them happening right in front of the referees, it's once again not hard to see why the Bruins get the least power plays in the league. Hint, it's not because ''they are a slow team''.

I watched that play a bunch of times. That is without a doubt a slewfoot. It is kind of a textbook slewfoot. Without a doubt it should have been a penalty.

Anytime this happens to Marchand you should consider that

1. He probably dove.
2. If he didn't dive, he absolutely deserved it.
