Very impressed with Pearson. Fearless to the net, hockey smarts and can flat out fly. Drafting and development is what has me the most excited about the Kings long term success. It keeps churning em out.

Yea there have even been players that leave and do good elsewhere that give the Kings system and development strong props. IN DEAN I TRUST!!!!!!! Keep up the great work Dean and Co.

3 years 5m is my guess. No way he gets 2m per already. Toffoli should be locked up to the exact same contract as Jaden Schwartz

5 million / 3 years is way too high for a second contract

Edit: oops I read 5 mil a season, 5 mil total seems low.

3 years for 5 million, aav of 1.67 or so,

Do it! Do it now!

And that is wonderful news on Alec. Can't wait for jazz hands to be back in a game.

Glad to see that Dean is making the Pearson contract a priority. I expect he will also take care of business with Shore, Toffoli and Sekera before moving on to negotiate with any of the remaining players that need a new contract.

I think it will be a short term deal out of necessity due to the cap. Toffoli is the player from which Dean would like to buy some UFA years if he can.

You are right here. Top titty not only has put up a 20 goal season, but he is actually turned into a board battler that has some snarl to his game. Wouldn't doubt to see Dean buy a few ufa years now.

I still think he waits on the voynov outcome before signing sekera.

Pearson should get a bridge to see how he rebounds from this type of injury.

The comment about TT got me thinking, who's next in Line for succession for the 'C'?

Been pretty interested in Pearson since he started so hot but kind of disappeared after a little bit. I know a lot of people were super high on him but now that his production has leveled off, does he look more like he was benefiting from Toffoli and Carter or does he look like a legitimate contributor to T70L? Does he have much offensive upside at all or does he seem to be more of a complementary player who's going to be important but never really reach over ~50 points?

Too early to tell. Last year was really his first season and he had a season ending injury.

That being said, he had flashes of brilliance and is the fastest player on our fastest line. He has really good hockey sense, he's good along the boards and he can't shoot.

This next year will really tell us what you are asking grasshopper.

Probably to early to tell, but I wouldn't be at all shocked if he scored 20-25 goals next year.

He's not faster than Carter.

He looks like a complimentary winger, 40-50 points. That's good. It's not like your entire top six can be 60-point players. The guy has blazing speed, is great on the walls, and has undeniable chemistry with Toffoli and Pearson to go with the good IQ. And he has a gnarly shot. Zach Parise lite.

Too much is being made of how he tailed off before his injury, imo. No one believed he was going to stay PPG hot.

Getting stuck with Lewis didn't help that much.
