73 - Toffoli
77 - Carter
70 - Pearson
pretty self explanatory![]()
I don't like Brown not on the top 6. Make these kids work for it on the lower/less played lines. Don't just put them on the top lines and hope they will produce without major help.
Gaborik has 3 goals in 5 games. I would think he has made a strong case for re-signing.
Moving forward to next year....
Gaborik or UFA-Kopitar-Brown
Pearson-Carter-Toffoli
King-Stoll-Williams
Clifford-Richards-Lewis
I would think the Kings could deal Williams, move Lewis up and put Andreoff on the 4th line with Richie and Clifford. Or put Nolan back in.
So sad that Richards' has fallen to the 4th line.
Clifford-Richards-Andreoff
I hate talking the off-season since we are still in it and don't want to jinx it but I think Tanner Pearson is making a case for the 2nd line LW position. That would give the Kings flexibility to deal a RW like Williams.
I really don't think the Kings have a need to deal Williams. His caphit is very reasonable and he is a great leader.
I think a lot of people underestimate what leadership does for a team. Even if Richards isn't performing, I constantly see him talking to the new guys. You *need* people like that on the team. Look at Edmonton..where's the leadership over there? You can have all the great players, but without that you are lost.

Or if they replace him with a player that brings an equal amount of sandpaper, but also contributes points and is actually disciplined.
Andreoff is more skilled than guys like Lewis, Clifford or Nolan. He is closer to a 3rd line player than those three guys.
Pearson should be a lock, going forward. Skates well, hits, good on the boards and
has a heavy heavy shot.
If anyone is moved this off season, I hope it's Voynov. He has been horrible 1 on 1
most every time this year...and not half the player he was 2 years ago...and now overpaid.
He will get MORE value in return than he is worth. Why? Because many still think he is
good...he's not. I bet Bodnarchuk would do better right now. Seriously.
I hate to get all Xbox-y when it comes to trades....but allegedly Tavares is looking to leave the sorry Isles?
Richards and Voynov would be fair. Maybe. I don't know.
Can you imagine that people used to knock Pearson's SKATING as his biggest weakness? LOL
Pearson has been absolute money and is improving quickly. His play with TT and Carts has been stellar, and his effort along the boards has led to more than a few plays.
