I don't like Brown not on the top 6. Make these kids work for it on the lower/less played lines. Don't just put them on the top lines and hope they will produce without major help.

Say what? Is this an old post or something?

I will say I think brown is worth more to the kings and plays better when he is on Kopis wing. To slot him over Pearson or TT in the top 6 right now would be foolish. Them with carter is perfect.

Gaborik has 3 goals in 5 games. I would think he has made a strong case for re-signing.

Moving forward to next year....

Gaborik or UFA-Kopitar-Brown
Pearson-Carter-Toffoli
King-Stoll-Williams
Clifford-Richards-Lewis

I would think the Kings could deal Williams, move Lewis up and put Andreoff on the 4th line with Richie and Clifford. Or put Nolan back in.

So sad that Richards' has fallen to the 4th line.

id love to see Andreoff on the big team. that would be a nasty, nasty 4th line

Clifford-Richards-Andreoff

I hate talking the off-season since we are still in it and don't want to jinx it but I think Tanner Pearson is making a case for the 2nd line LW position. That would give the Kings flexibility to deal a RW like Williams.

I really don't think the Kings have a need to deal Williams. His caphit is very reasonable and he is a great leader.

I think a lot of people underestimate what leadership does for a team. Even if Richards isn't performing, I constantly see him talking to the new guys. You *need* people like that on the team. Look at Edmonton..where's the leadership over there? You can have all the great players, but without that you are lost.

Kings are a team full of leaders. Maybe a team like the oilers could use more leadership, not so much the kings. And if leadership is all that MR brings to the table, his salary should be cut in half.

Andreoff is more skilled than guys like Lewis, Clifford or Nolan. He is closer to a 3rd line player than those three guys.

Just offseason talk, I think Williams and Clifford are redundant.

Agreed. I saw some sick moves from Andreoff in the pre-season and rookie games.

Clifford is still a badass in my opinion. Kings can't let him go unless they plan on playing Nolan everyday.

Or if they replace him with a player that brings an equal amount of sandpaper, but also contributes points and is actually disciplined.

Yup. Nolan moves well for a big guy, but he doesn't have the speed to perpetually put pressure on the opposing D. Andreoff, allegedly, does and has a bit of skill to boot so him and Clifford could do a nice bit of damage out there together

Pearson just took whatever chance Andreoff had of making the kings. He's going to be in soupy territory. Nice, hard worker, going to get a shot somewhere else. A good two maybe even three players on the monarchs are all going to get calls before Andreoff.

Pearson should be a lock, going forward. Skates well, hits, good on the boards and
has a heavy heavy shot.

If anyone is moved this off season, I hope it's Voynov. He has been horrible 1 on 1
most every time this year...and not half the player he was 2 years ago...and now overpaid.

He will get MORE value in return than he is worth. Why? Because many still think he is
good...he's not. I bet Bodnarchuk would do better right now. Seriously.

I hate to get all Xbox-y when it comes to trades....but allegedly Tavares is looking to leave the sorry Isles?

Richards and Voynov would be fair. Maybe. I don't know.

Because of Toffoli, Pearson, Jones, maybe Vey and hopefully a Gravel and McNabb, LA's window has gone from 5 years (we're in year 3 right now) to quite possibly 7 or 8 years.

Pearson is valuable and he's paying dividends sooner since he's an overager.

Pearson and TT took over after a dominating shift by the Sharks. Pearson has been strong this whole series. Really impressed with him and I hope he can pitch in on the scoring in game 7. He is due.

Can you imagine that people used to knock Pearson's SKATING as his biggest weakness? LOL

Pearson has been absolute money and is improving quickly. His play with TT and Carts has been stellar, and his effort along the boards has led to more than a few plays.

Your thinking of Toffoli.

Pearson has always been a strong skater.

One thing's for sure, neither Pearson nor Toffoli are ever going to draw a penalty in their careers. Toffolli has been hit in the fae with about 150 sticks, no calls. Pearson got straight up boarded tonight, no call.
