Tanner Jeannot trade

4 points in 20 regular season games

0 points -2 in the playoffs

Nashville received defenseman Cal Foote, a conditional first-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, a second-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, and a third-, fourth- and fifth-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

Is this one of the worst trades of all time?

Man, the Leafs just won their first playoff series in 19 years. Just enjoy it for awhile.

Why do we care what someone else paid for something they wanted?

I don't question the expenditure of friends and family on their vehicles, furniture or vanity shit.

Who the f*** cares?

What were Tampa suppose to do with all those mid-round picks? Their window is now and a couple of years more. Why the hell would you want to draft a player that is NHL ready in 5+ years? That's when it's primetime for Tampa to tank and you can tank without a bunch of drafted players.

Improve their dcore?

Did we goto your job and grade you on your first few weeks on the fryer?

Listen, just because you flip pancakes for your family doesn't mean you can flip burgers.. you're in the big times now pal.

Now for my order, I'll take an extra large number 2. Delivered dorectly to the bathroom after reading your take.

Either terrific sarcasm or just really funny.

Why do I care who wins a game? It's their game, not my business. Who the f*** cares? Where am I again?

It's not like it's ever bad to have assets, plus for that package they could've done better than Jeannot lol.

Also I think a '25 first rounder could still be plenty useful for a team headed towards rebuild

The trade will only ever look good if they take him out of that goon role. Make him a “3rd” guy playing on one of the top two lines and let him go when he absolutely has to. Otherwise they paid hela much for an enforcer who isn’t even top tier at that aspect.
