Who constructed this roster?
They were a PURE PP team last year and they let their best PP goal scorer walk. They let their top 2 goaltenders go. They replaced all that with literal journeyman losers and career AHLers. They overpaid grossly for a one dimensional player in Kyrou. They kept trash like Mikkola on the roster knowing damn well he could play and how awful he is.
Armstrong is the culprit of this mess.
If by spicy you mean does guy who has been crappy for much of season whine about how his teammates are playing, then yes.

Patrick Roy could not save this team. Binner and Greiss up until last week were the only reason they had wins.
For what? Saying that coaching staff was doing great but players aren’t doing what he wants? Isn’t that part of coaching, to get team to play how you want?

paywall but from the headline/tweet I gotta agree with Binner. Hard to stay focused when everything around you is a complete dumpster fire (obviously he needs to play better too tho)

Do we? I hear statements like this but I don't see a particularly talented team here. Our top forwards can put up points, but only Buch is someone I'd say is even decent in our own zone, which is a massive problem when our defensemen are average at best (And I honestly think average is very kind). Our goaltending is bad, but Binnington has been getting worse each regular season for a while now and we signed a backup in his mid 30's who put up a .890 save percentage last year and is playing like that.
Basically, I don't think this is a coaching issue, it's a roster construction issue.
Our roster would look much better- as it did last year- if guys were playing up to expectations. Defensive zone coverage and PK are atrocious, that isn't talent issue. Stupid drop passes and flubbing easy passes and blowing assignments, that isn't roster construction issue. Flat COVID cap has caused lots of recent top teams to plug holes and try to get by; none of them are playing anywhere near as crappy as us.

This is part of why I blame the coaching staff. It took what? 9 consecutive games of giving up 3 goals in 1 period before the mother f***er decided to call a time out after the 2nd goal to calm things down? Get f***ed.
The team may not be a legit cup contender but the performance of the players is far below what their talent level is. I put a large part of that on the coaching staff because frankly there is never an adjustment. They just try to brute force everything instead of changing the game plan. That's on the coach.
