After the rage of Tuesday night's loss to the St Louis blues I too was in favor of throwing in the towel. However, realistically looking at the numbers we have very little chance in dropping within the top 10 come draft time so I'd rather we try and make a push for the playoffs. Or, you know, maybe don't support cliff divers and expect they will actually play better considering they are paid to a standard and haven't delivered on it. Who am I to speak out of turn though. What good things? This seasons been a mess and a huge roller coaster. The only good things that's happened this season is we have seen that Bernier is a fantastic goalie, and we now know that Bozak can put up points in a condensed schedule. And maybe the fact that Rielly is a decent bottom pairing defender.

You know who says stuff like Phaneuf? Failures. I know I flunked all of my final exams but I got an "A" in Gym first semester. I do agree tanking doesn't occur now, nor am I really in favor of it at this point, but seeing the owners, high management, somebody that matters, say this is not good enough and do something tangible about it would be super freaking nice. Not this crap they've spewed for the past half of my lifetime

Kessel on pace to have a career high in goals, 3RD in points in the league, JVR having a career year in goals, assists and points. We have 6 players who are close to having 20 goals or more, which is good.


Rielly is only a bottom pairing defender because he's so young and is learning things still.

My personal opinion but I think besides this 6 game losing streak, this has been a good season for the Leafs.

I totally agree with your assessment of the current Leaf team but I would guess so do a lot of the anti-tankers.

NHL is not the same as the NBA.

Very possible to get a great pickup late in draft, just have to draft well!

Not interested in tanking with this team nor will it happen, we have great offense and elite goaltending, it's only our defensive play(that counts for forwards too) that is poor, which leaves us as being a bubble team.
