Big win for Utah today against one of the top teams in the league. Blues have a tough schedule after the 4 Nations tourney. Should be an interesting ride.

Our schedule goes from very tough in late February into March, to very easy the 2nd half of March, to a mix of good and bad in April. The trade deadline lands just near the end of the tough section (March 7th). It will be interesting to see where we are in the standings at the deadline after that tough stretch.

I think we are still technically 8th, but ANA has a chance to pass us tonight!!

Blues and MTL have identical records but MTL has one more ROW. That’s probably why they have us at #7. They own the tiebreaker

That website sorts by point percentage, so it has ANA ahead of us in the standings despite having one less point as of the time of this post. We are currently at 8th.

Aren’t you supposed to go by win% with an unbalanced schedule?
Seems logical. If tied and same number of games played, then the RW and ROW counts matter. Either way, we are at 7 after tonight. Super tough schedule coming up with the Avs, Kraken, Caps, Kings (2) and Dallas before the TDL. Gets a little easier after that, but it’s a gauntlet coming.

Going to win a bunch of meaningless games, finish 14th, miss all the top players. So Bluesy.

Given the number of prospects we have in the pipeline, I think we're at a point where you have to seriously consider moving that pick and one of the forward prospects for an established NHLer that can either help with offense in the top 6 or in the top pairing on D.

What good does another B prospect do for our rebuild? Probably not a whole lot. Obviously it'll all be up to who is available to the team.

I'd be shocked to see them stand tight between 12-16 again.

I wanted a top 8 pick and one of the centers, but if finish too far out for them, I’m on board with what you said.
