It really does make me question whether we just don't have the shooting talent to beat goalies, but it simply just doesn't make sense with all the 20/30+ goal scorers on this team.

Our team just has to be too easy to read as a goalie. No way we lose so many games because of a hot goalie. I refuse to believe it

Who knows…The problem is, every other GM in the NHL knows that Matthews is not staying, so Toronto will get nothing but lowball offers. Why would Any GM give up anything of value for a guy who is 100% leaving anyways. They can just sign him for nothing in free agency. He is going to a US team, no question about it.

Getting goalie by Vas is actually okay.
I am giving him credits as he really stopped enough Odd man rushes and anything around the crease. You can’t fault the Leafs for not trying to score dirty goals.

Also, the Leafs are playing well.

Honestly the Leafs have played fine tonight. I think Muzzin has been absolutely terrible. I think the Matthews line is having a tough time against the Point line. Playing way too much in their own end. Would almost look to try and line match the 3rd line against point to get some space for the Matthews line. All n All, its a tight game against a championship level squad. Gotta find a way to get one past Vasy. But I'm not unhappy with the effort thus far
