Please enlighten us who you think the scrubs are. Geekie, the 20 year old top 10 pick; or Howard, the 20 year old who is likely to win the Hobey Baker? I don't want my homerism getting in the way.

Scrubs is absolutely an incorrect assertion. Those guys are great prospects. The problem for Buffalo is we already have a huge and talented prospect pool and it largely consists of forwards. We need NHL players not prospects.

Well, we are in a thread designed for us to speculate on what Tampa might trade to get Tuch. You and the other poster seemed to be debating on the value of two of Tampa's prospects.

I can't speak for the person who responded to you, but if I was to see that post and respond I suppose my natural reaction would be to comment on whether or not I had interest in said prospects. I know this is long winded but I guess what I am saying is they likely responded to your post to indicate that, regardless of any discussion on what defines a scrub, they aren't interested in those two prospects. That's my guess as to why they quoted you anyways.

Since he quoted me asking the other poster about who the scrubs were, I thought it made sense to ask him if he were speaking to that. That wasn't me asking him randomly to speak for someone else out of the blue, it made contextual sense for me to follow up. I wasn't being rude, I just asked.

As to his response, if anything, it wasn't relevant to what I said. I understand that Buffalo doesn't want futures and that this is an unlikely trade because of that. Fair enough. That's very different than saying we were offering scrubs, which was just an attempt by the other poster to troll.

Always liked Tuch, he's got all the qualities that Tampa is looking for to finally add a 2RW.
Tuch on a line with Hagel and Cirelli would be nasty business, but I doubt that Buffalo is gonna trade him away easily.

The trade would probably be centered around Geekie (+ pick + prospect?) as a return, as he's a very good prospect that has shown to be NHL ready. Only needs one offseason more to put on some weight IMO

• Earlier in the season, the Buffalo Sabres told some teams they weren’t interested in moving Alex Tuch. That hasn’t stopped clubs from trying. There is a lot of noise, and maybe that’s all it ends up being, that Buffalo is looking to do something big. They have also relayed that they won’t move Dylan Cozens to certain teams, as they don’t see a return that fits. I believe, for now, Calgary and Nashville are two of those teams.

No the trade would not be centered around those pieces. How many times does it need to be stated we don't want picks and prospects or young 20 somethings trying to figure it out. We have all that dripping out of our ears.

Make a hockey trade or keep your shit and we will keep ours.
