Capwages says they have 730k in space at present. Nothing on LTIR.Tampa has accrued enough cap for Tuch half retained but will likely accrue a lot more by the TDL and could trade Sheary if needed. Don't think Tampa is going to be willing to trade roster players, Tuch to Tampa likely isn't a good fit for BUF
the discrepancy is they just called up sheary for 1 game and also we have 3 goalies at the moment, they will be sent down before the breakCapwages says they have 730k in space at present. Nothing on LTIR.
Puckpedia says $1.73m making for $2.88m in deadline space.
I wonder if the discrepancy is Geekie being sent to the minors ...
His NTC says no.I wonder if Tampa would do some type of trade involving Cernak to Buffalo.
Cernak has a full NTC and I would be extremely extremely doubtful that he would waive for Buffalo.I wonder if Tampa would do some type of trade involving Cernak to Buffalo.
You’re out of your mind.
Cirelli is younger, locked up longer at an AAV that will be less than Tuchs new deal, elite defensively, plays the more important position, and his offense is not a material drop off compared to Tuch PLUS a first round pick.
Buffalo has no need for futures. They have more than enough.I don't see how there is anything to discuss here if you think you're getting key roster players off the Lightning. Completely ruins the point of the trade.
In fact it's not a drop off at all when you consider he has more goals this season. Not hating on Tuch, would love to have him, but let's be real. Cirelli for Tuch would be highway robbery for Buffalo. Putting a first on top of him is absolutely ridiculous. It's about as realistic to say that the Lightning could get Tage Thompson for Cirelli and a first as it is for Buffalo to get Cirelli and a first for Tuch. You’re out of your mind.

Average players score at .85PPG? Because thats what Tuch has been doing on a dumpster fire of a team since he joined the Sabres.Omg, we are not talking about Gretzky here. Ask any casual hockey fan who is Tuch and nobody knows the guy. He is an average NHL-er, stop this nonsense please. For the right price he is going to be traded faster than Lightning (pun intended)
He's much better than an average NHLer but with the Canes trading Necas/Avs trading Rantanen and Canucks trading JT Miller, I just don't believe that a 2nd line winger on a team that ain't competing for much anytime soon is really off the tableAverage players score at .85PPG? And you really think Connor Geekie and a mid 2nd round pick makes us better now OR in the long run? Geekie at his absolute ceiling becomes TuchI get that Buffalo needs more good players and less futures, but the time to make those trades is in the offseason. Buffalo isn't competing this year, so it would be wise to take advantage of the market and position themselves well to make those trades in the summer.
sarcasm?
delusional
His NTC says no.
He is a first line winger for the Sabres, he just doesn't play on the top PP unit. He get's 19:30 a game, and is a top end PKer to boot. He might not be a first line winger for some teams in the league, but he is absolutely the top line winger on the Sabres. He's much better than an average NHLer but with the Canes trading Necas/Avs trading Rantanen and Canucks trading JT Miller, I just don't believe that a 2nd line winger on a team that ain't competing for much anytime soon is really off the table
I wasn't really debating how good he is, more just his availability. Elliotte reportedly just said he isn't sure what the Sabres will do with him, which to me indicates that it's not some kind of forgone conclusion that he's untouchable (including the first post as context for the second):He is a first line winger for the Sabres, he just doesn't play on the top PP unit. In addition, he has an incredibly low cap hit for his production (4.75M), and another year after this one.
He is a prime asset, both for a team to hold onto and for any competing team to acquire.

That only works if the player is basically worth nothing and you are hoping someone else claims them. If the player has trade value then that isn't really an option.Always pull a Trouba and say they are going to waive him.
Which highlights how there's not a deal to be made here, Cirelli has far more value than Tuch and even if they were comparable in contract situations moving your 2c for a 2rw would be braindead.Fair point, my mistake if I misunderstood. I'd be shocked if the Sabres traded him. Shocked. He is a leader in the room, plays a very important role, and is prime aged.
If I were to look at a deal from the Lightning, I'd probably say Cirelli and a 1st, or Tuch and Krebs for Cernak and Cirelli. I don't think Tampa would accept, but that would be what it would take to have Tuch moved if I'm Kevyn Adams
Yeah I respectfully think you're off your rocker if you think Tampa is "adding" by giving up the best player in the deal and a first round draft pick, but I also don't really think Tampa has an offer that Buffalo would accept unless Kevyn Adams pulls a Kevyn Adams (assuming he wants NHL players in return). I also don't know how certain it is that he wouldn't accept picks or prospects or if that's just sentiment among the fans. Has he said anything like that on the record or is it just speculative?Fair point, my mistake if I misunderstood. I'd be shocked if the Sabres traded him. Shocked. Ok dude we’re not betting on whether or not the Sabres are trading Tuch. Thats not rhe point at all. Were discussing Tuch for Cirelli + 1st in vacuum. Nothing moreBuffalo needs to add NHL talent. Not trade with anything involving prospects / picks. They have too much of that stuff.
It would be Cirelli + another nhl piece currently. And that might not even be enough to make them want to pull the trigger on the hometown player.
I refuse to believe that trading a guy who has been there for 3 years (and only has 1.5 years left on his contract) will be the final straw for any of the remaining fans who still patronize the organization. He's a fan favorite who has ties to the area on a team with little to market to its already irritated fanbase. Trading him to a divisional rival for futures would probably cause jerseys to be thrown on the ice and all but death knell ticket sales.
I never said that trade is happening or that they are trading Tuch at all. Someone proposed a return of Cirelli + 1st. Thats all were discussing. Also calling Cirelli a spare part (@boltsfan86 lol) is INSANE just say you havent watched him play muchDelusional is Sabres trading a big forward who drives plays and WANTS to be in Buffalo -- and will likely extend -- for spare parts.
You make it sound like Sabres fans haven’t bitching for two years about Tuch’s effort and softness.LOL. Sabres need more futures and crap for a bonafide top-six player who loves playing in playing and is highly likely to sign. You want Tuch the price would have to be a bonafide centre with long term team control and a serious RD. Cernak and Cirelli could work.
