I know a lot of fans of other teams will have fun bashing the Leafs again, but Toronto fans should be proud of their team. Each year they've been getting better and will continue to be a contender for years. They were on the wrong side of this one but could have easily gone the other way.

It's kind of sad to blame a series loss on one single penalty. Then again, that's exactly what happens with 1993 as well, so I guess no surprise.

The players will certainly not be blaming the refs for their failure. They might lack accountability, but even they aren't quite at that level.

I think these are the two best teams in the East. I like Toronto jokes as much as the next guy, but they have nothing to be ashamed of here. TB barely pulled this off. By far, FAR, our toughest series of the cup runs.

You can complain about the reffing on both sides. But bottom line is If you cannot close out a series in games 6 or 7. One at home in game 7. You don't deserve to move on.

I thought the Leafs played a great series including their star players. But at some point the stars need to come up big in an elimination game and score a goal.
Matthews and Marner need to take over a game. They have the talent.
