Yep. One thing soccer has is the ball literally kicks off at the exact time they say. 8pm start it starts exactly at 8.
Hockey 8pm start puck will drop at close to 830. It’s nonsense and I’m surprised the TV networks allow it.

Same with baseball, start time says 7:07 and that first pitch leaves the pitcher hand at exactly 7:07.
