Just win. Going 2-2 gives Tampa ALL the momentum.

We need to win as many games as possible while Point is out. I'd hate to be tied 2-2 with them having all the momentum and then Point comes back giving them even more confidence...

Kucherov is outplaying Panarin. That's a big problem and Artemi needs to step up if we're to win this series.

A lot of people are outplaying Panarin this postseason...

Tampa really pushed the Rangers around last game, I expect the Rangers to answer that in some way. Not necessarily a fight, but returning the favor. If they don’t it will be a 2-2 series
Careful. We might end up with the only penalty when coincidentals should be handed out …

They need to get Reaves out of the f***ing lineup. Asap. No more. I love Reaves but no more. Enough is enough.

Reaves out, Blais in.

Rooney sucks. Put Hunt in.

If Chytil is out, hope Strome is back or then Rooney back in

Simply put, they need to score on 5v5..or how about at least putting SOME pressure on Vasilevskiy. The Lightning could've had pretty much any goalie in net and it wouldn't made much of a difference. Very few high scoring chances.

Regardless of the statuses of both Chytil and Strome, we can't play Reaves again, especially since Gallant loves using his fourth line so much. Reaves is a liability. Put in Brodzinski, Hunt or even Gauthier (who at least can draw penalties well) if you must but you can't continue to play Reaves when it's a straight ol' hockey game with no Tom Wilsons to contend with.

Panarin...Horrendous. I would say he was invisible up until the PP goal, but he was too busy coughing up pucks and half-assing it on the backcheck. He's arguably the worst player on the ice. Not saying we should scratch him, but my God. MY GOD.

Copp? Invisible again. Kakko? Invisible and played stupidly.

And one final thing: you cannot have Goodrow be in the top-6. Break up the Kid Line if necessary, but you can't have Barclay f***ing Goodrow playing on a line with Panarin and Copp. I'm glad Gallant shuffled the lines a bit and had Zibanejad with Panarin, but Goodrow should under no circumstances see any top-6 minutes. Move Laf up.

If Strome and Chytil are both out, they should just move Copp to C, but if only Chytil is out, this is what I would do:

Kreider-Zibanejad-Copp
Panarin-Strome-Vatrano
Lafreniere-Motte-Kakko
Brodzinski-Rooney-Gauthier

Rangers win game 5 (4-2). Tampa wins game 6 (2-1). Brayden Point returns and Tampa wins game 7 by a score of 8-0. Sadge Face

I appreciate Ryan Reaves more than many on here, but really how useless has this guy been?

Last night was the perfect excuse for him to step up with the intimidation factor, getting on their D in the corners, etc. and he was a ghost.

What is the purpose of having him in the lineup if he isn't capable or willing to do that? He did it for like 4-5 periods in the Pens series and it was a massive boost.

I said this during the Pitt series:

I actually do believe he brought an element to the locker room the team clearly needed after last year’s disaster, but you’d think he led the way this year with his physicality when in reality Jacob Trouba was basically 1000x more impactful in that regard.

I’ll admit I like him as a player way more than I thought I would, I just find it funny how you could argue he’s another in a long line of players this team acquired way past their best by date but not so many people are willing to admit it.

In hindsight, I make the trade 9 times out of 10 if it means fixing the issues in the locker room. I just wish we got the actual hockey player a few years early instead of the team mascot we really got ;)

He's strangely a better hockey player than he is an enforcer these days but his complete lack of ability to skate is a straight up detriment. If he can't skate and he doesn't enforce what exactly is he playing for?

It's f***ing bizarro world watching this fanbase of all fanbases love an enforcer that legit barely does anything in the way of physicality.

Good question. Game 5 is do or die and he just can't be in the lineup but I'm sure he will be. With the injuries and all the hockey that this team has played we need new blood and fresh legs desperately.
