All of our faces after that OT win.

Worth noting as a storyline: Vegas went down to 5 D and didn’t even trust the 5th one.

Whatever happened to McNabb, if he can’t go, we can wear down their D the same way we have everyone else’s.
Hospital trip not a good sign for McNabb but I still wouldn’t be surprised to see him back game 3 with a full cage. But yeah either way their D depth will get tested by us here. Also we out hit them like crazy tonight 46-25 after getting out hit by them in game 1. Nice sign

Thought Aho was more engaged tonight maybe this will get him going. Mcnabb is a huge loss if he’s out for any period of time. Hanifin doesn’t look great

I mean it looked bad. If he just lost a bunch of teeth he’s probably in. But the angle it hit him at, I wonder if sinus cavity damage was done. Then you wonder about him flying, being able to breathe properly, etc. Interesting to see if it’s something he can play through.

Definitely could become a breathing issue

I said this to my wife earlier - An OT win may give us more confidence than a regular win. I still think Vegas is outplaying us. I do. They also have better goaltending but freddie did make the saves down the stretch, though they weren't like 10 bell. Just good ones we needed.

If we take the next one in Vegas its a whole new series because this team IS a momentum team and we have paid dearly for lessons learned vs vegas in this series so far.

Two ways to look at this -
It took OT to beat them in the only win we have, and they were one post / crashed net away from being down 0-2.

Or

Both games have been one goal games.

I do still think they have outplayed us for the majority of the series though.

They have, but stranger things have happened in a series. We got the split, which was important. And now the pressure is on them to not blow it in their barn.

As long as the Canes don’t get the “Vegas Flu”, we have a good shot.

I dont think any of these guys are going to get the vegas flu. We've been good on the road but make no mistake, Vegas has outplayed us for much of the series.

But we wouldnt be here without the PP working TWICE tonight when we needed it most. Still, blowing it and losing the lead and it going to OT.... We needed it, mentally to come out and win. Huge risk, huge reward. I WANT to think that winning in OT gives them a bigger boost than winning in regulation.
