Shoulda got one game in
that's a bold faced lie.... we also think they're a laughing stock
Don’t worry. Us Sabre fans think the same thing.
that's a bold faced lie.... we also think they're a laughing stock
This is a textbook example of what happens when everyone sees your franchise as nothing more than prey to be feasted upon.
If we piss away yet another year in his and Dahlin's prime.......I could absolutely see one or both of them wanting out after this upcoming year.My lord if this team traded that guy. They desperately need to cling to every ounce of skill they have.
we'll take a slightly defeated Dahlin off your hands for CDN pennies on the US dollar. If we piss away yet another year in his and Dahlin's prime.......I could absolutely see one or both of them wanting out after this upcoming year.
The first sentence is completely unnecessary. (And grammatically incorrect) If you think the 4th overall pick as a starting point is “anything all that worthwhile” then I don’t know what to tell you.So we want this good players but we don't want to give up anything all that worthwhile.
Buffalo is not rebuilding and selling off good players for futures.
Thompson and dahlin are basically unavailable.
They moved Cozens because he has the hockey IQ of a potato and is a negative on the ice. Tage has nothing to do with why we moved him. They moved Cozens because having him and Tate was redundant. They both want to be the trigger man on the left side of the powerplay. They aren't going to move Tage now, especially since any trade would effectively make them worse and that's not their goal
You really don't want to win don't you ...You could offer Serg, Hayton, Crouse and that 1st and I still PERSONALLY wouldn't bite. Not trying to be dramatic his offense to this team is just that important
There's Zach HymanSo here's how it is. Tage is not currently available.
However, once the Sabres are out of a playoff spot by Thanksgiving, and he, Dahlin and Tuch all ask for trades because they are sick of losing, then he'll be available.
I imagine there would be quite a bidding war for Tage. A guy with 50 goal potential that only makes $7mil is unheard of unless they are on an entry level deal. He's locked up for long time. A 50 goal guy that any team can fit into their budget.
So your 4th will be gone by then so you'll have to offer something more substantial.
Im not sure collecting Utah parts is stealing the "winning recipe" but whatever my team does suckYou really don't want to win don't you ...
You're allowed to have nice things too.
I mean we were just gonna politely decline but I'm sure this was all of our thoughts lolOh, is “4th overall is in play” for one of the best players in the league? “Presumably we’d have to add” Lol. Ya no crap? Like you’re not sure if that equals the value there..
You’d be adding significant pieces to that pick to get Tage frickin Thompson.
we'll take a slightly defeated Dahlin off your hands for CDN pennies on the US dollar.
Well that's just mean and hurtfulFeel free to do things that are anatomically impossible.
Come on, I'm not coming here asking about the availability of Logan Cooley. In my own defense, my intention by posting this thread was just to make an inquiry about Tage Thompson's availability. @sabremike if you took it that way, that's not how I meant it, and I apologize for the misunderstanding.
The answer seems to be that he's unavailable and that's a reasonable response. A hypothetical phone call along the same lines would be something like this:
Bill Armstrong: "Hey, what's up? I was just wondering if Tage Thompson is available, and if so, what it would take. Our 4th overall pick is on the table."
Kevyn Adams: "Sorry, we're not really looking to trade him right now."
Bill Armstrong: "Okay, no worries, thanks. Have a nice day!"
Clearly the Mammoth, Buffalos and Ducks need an interspecies 3-way trade
