GDT: Switzerland Vs Slovakia | 1:00PM | Group B - TD Place

Is there any country these days where the young hockey players aren't all seemingly related to someone that was a notable player themselves? I know the announcers say it's "cool" but it really speaks to how closed an exclusive world that hockey is.

Lars Steiner is a small man hitting like a truck. He's fun to watch on both sides of the puck.

Urban was excellent despite the score yesterday. Did a good job of weathering the early storm from the Swiss. Looks like the Slovaks have their legs now. They need the Dalibor line to carry them. Good shift there

On that Swiss team Reber is the only one I can think of. The rest of them I don't know about any famous family members except for the Meier's and Neuenschwander's who have their brother on the same team.

Jesus Christ we were better this period but can't score and of course the Slovaks burry it with the extra attacker. Typical.

Yeah last year's game against Slovakia was the same, we created a lot but unable to score, like you said just typical problem for Switzerland and a very frustrating one...

It's a nice deflection but good god was that ever soft defense by Bünzli. Two Slovaks standing right on top of Kirsch and he didn't even attempt to box them out or win the battle for the puck. Not even sure why he's on the roster. Should be G.Meier's spot.

Good slapper by Luka Radivojevic on the Jenko deflection goal for Slovakia. Everytime when I here Radivojevic's name, it reminds me of Branko when he was a thorn against the Ottawa 67s while playing for the then Belleville Bulls.

They just showed the goal replay again on TSN. If I was coaching, Bünzli wouldn't get a single shift the rest of the game. It literally doesn't get any lazier and softer. If you get outmuscled...okay it happens. But to not even try...it's unacceptable.
