Completely unnecessary penalty by Volek, should never have been this nerve wracking to close the game out

Tobias Abstreiter and his other coaches look like an 80s German techno band with these Turtle Necks.
About to pull out the E-Drum set, a Keytar and the Piano to play that Kraftwerk-Vibe

WTF germany had them PL and they allow 4 goals in the 3rd period fml

Thats why our Coach doesnt look happy in the End of the Game. You dont like to see a Game will be ended like this. Sure you have the Moment on your Side for swizz. But when you controll the Game 50 Minutes you dont wanna see 4 Goals against you. And they will talk about this, no matter run out of Energy or already done with the Game in a 4 Goal lead and 10 minutes to play.

I saw this shit also in the NHL, but no matter where it happens no one like it.

Its quiet funny i saw him playing in the Season 1994 and saw his younger brother playing 2016-2018 in Landshut.

Oh and before i forget for the one Sabres Fan, this was one of JJ better Games, but the first 3 was low. In the last Game against Slovakia his puck controll sucks, he lost and turned over the Puck to often.
And against Canada he let himself fall down, elias and stuetzle showed more emotion and self control.
And finnland game was first game but complete overall okay.
Peterka, and maybe some of the scouts so something simular, looks from his play like Hoffman. Good with the puck, good shot, can pass but when he is down or behind he is no player who makes the difference. Also his play in the own Zone need development.

Best of luck next year Switzerland, tough year but they’ll bounce back next year I think.

The game breakers were game breakers for Germany. Stutzle is a damn special player. Switzerland simply didn’t have any players of that caliber and his line was the difference.

Yep, Germany’s star players showed up while Swiss really didn’t have any star players.
So so so well deserved for Germany to make the quarterfinals for the first time ever.

The expert in German TV talked about what we also did, after Slovakia Game. Where are the Talents in the Swiss they have current a generation and talent problem. After 2017 only 5 players was drafted. no 5th, 6th or 7th Rounder. the usual low Picks you do. And this Tournament showing also some problem. Different from germany where the current Generation on the rise up. While a lot of old Veteran NHL leaders ending their Career.

German coach rocking the turtleneck. Nicely done.
Would make a fine Sprocket

Swiss fought well. Unfortunately, we have to listen to the TSN broadcasters gargle Stutzle for one more game.

Thanks for coming... Swiss...

And for your troubles... you get a Swiss watch...

I remember Milos Raonic winning a tennis tournament in San Jose and they gave him a hockey jersey and bottle of maple syrup. One of the sports show commentators quipped "This is a good step forward for Canadian tennis and a giant step backward for Canadian stereotyping."
