GDT: Switzerland vs Canada @ 4pm PT/ 7pm ET/ 1am Thursday CEST

Tough period for Canada, Switzerland isn't going away. The team remains disorganized on defence and the offence didn't come smoothly in that period.

I completely disagree with the second sentence. The offensive prowess has been distributed nicely.
 
I think Canada will be ok. Switzerland is playing their typical suffocating game, but not generating much offense.

Crummy to lose Grieg, but the lineup is still deep.

Canada hasn’t been too impressive today. On the other hand Switzerland has been very good. They have scouted pretty well Canada’s game and are taking the play as much as they can to Canada’s weaknesses. And the biggest weakness for Canada is definitely defence. If you give enough of pressure to their end, this team can be even surprisingly vulnerable. But of course it’s still easier said than done, so definitely the Swiss have done a good job so far. USA and even Finland or Sweden might definitely have a chance of beating Canada in this tournament. Although maybe not Finland or Sweden after all, as both of their coaching seems pretty much to suck ass.

As someone else said, if we are going to have a garbage game, it is better to have it against the Swiss.

The small Swiss contigent at the game is pretty into it. Good showing for them.

Felt like Canada is sleep walking through this game and one or two bounces we are singing a very different tune going forward here.

Team looks so disjointed with no Greig. Need a few guys to step up and stop being passengers on lines.

Sorry I'm going to be negative again but to me that's a Dave Cameron team.
 
Johnsons ability to have fun in the booth is quite infectious.

Geez Desnoyers, don't just watch the puck float by you every time.
 
Switzerland, which is by default perennial top 10 hockey nation in the world, has never beaten Canada in the World Juniors. Tell you all you need to know about int'l hockey parity. Yikes.
