This is Czech Republic, not Saudi Arabia and not many people care about this tourney usually in Czech but with the way we play this year it definitely has more coverage. Not nearly as much as Worlds or OG. Just like NHL, mostly only core hockey fans care.

Swiss just outclassed. I continue to believe the Czechs are the best team in this tournament and on Connor Bedard is making people overlook the obvious.

I don't think he has the punishing physical nature to his game that Weber had. I have always kind of liked the Hedman comp.

Jiricek is super physical to me though. Maybe not in the punishing hits sense, but he plays an extremely gritty, elimination style defence

Either way. Whoever we compare him to, he’s a wonderful prospect

I think Jiricek and his physicality will take off as he adds size. Hes still kind of slight for his height and that style of game

Sale to Kulich and Kulich with 2.. this was KEY! That was great vision but the puck was rolling and bouncy, Kulich hit it like it was dead flat.

Yeah, that's a disappointing game from a Swiss perspective. They've made almost no mistakes in the group games but in this one besides the 4th one which was just a classic Pasche fail all goals have come after individual mistakes by Swiss skaters. Also gotta give props to the Czechs though who continue to be very effective at punishing opponents for their mistakes.

Kulich PKing is very encouraging too.. he seems to have hustle and backcheck... I still remember him in the final minute against the US. Not just a 1 dimensional shooter.

Yeah, this isn't very well played by the Swiss but the Czech's efficiency continues to be crazy. 6 goals from 16 shots and only one was stoppable for the goalies. That's just too good. One blown coverage, one bad giveaway and the puck is in the back of your net. At this level that's impressive.
