Yup, last time Czechia won against Sweden was at the 2003 WJC's(so, 18 years since then).

That 2003 team's roster hurts looking at.

I was there...that was an awful team and led to big changes all throughout Swedish youth hockey.

for me personally I’m watching Simon Holmstrom. Islanders 1st round pick 2019. Played in the AHL last year. Winger.

Hope Rönnmark is gone with Montén and they simply don't promote him or the other assistant coach. There's not much difference between them all.

He won't dominate against Sweden but Svozil on D looks to be a legit NHL player and first round pick. I'd say our most promising player. I think he won't get much ice tme but Jiricek on D as well.

Novak shoots from everywhere... I love this guy. He will finish the tournament with the worst shooting percentage in history. He's not like any Czech I can recall in that aspect.. refreshing change. Probably grow up listening to his parents scream 'shoot the puck, goddamit'
