GDT: Sweden vs Cesko

If Sweden had a functioning powerplay we'd have a reasonable chance at gold. With this pp we ain't winning shit. Nice to see defence stepping it up tho and not leaving Lindbom to do it all on his own.

Yup. And think.... IIHF refs have improved over the years.

Sweden really shutting down every chance defensively, we’ll have to see if it holds in the third period, I think Czechia has looked slightly better in this one. Go CESKO!
 
Also, the ice is looking quite poor, probably a reason why both teams are struggling a bit in the attack.

The Czechs are asleep here. It’s sad. The Swedes have been a massive disappointment this tournament, outside of Lindbom

They’re gonna shrivel by the Czechs, then buckle in the final. They have no balls. The gold medal game will then become tonight and the actual gold medal game will be a route

Nothing against the Swedes, but they would be a bullshit final
 
The IIHF should consider removing calls from the ice. Everything can be called from above - penalties, off side, goals, ets. Having the calls made on the ice limits their scope and too much falls thru the cracks.

But, then again, umpires still call balls and strikes so...

Canada relying on one player would be just as bullshit in that case.

It sucks. They said on Swedish TV that they just added the IIHF logos and additional ice on top of the "regular" ice making it very thick and difficult for the cooling system to reach. TSN were worried about the 3rd game of the day later on..

It looks like nervous teens playing steady veterans. Czechs need a lucky bounce.

Suchanek is a bit of an adventure tonight. Czechs had 5 shots in second... Bouncing picks..missed passe... Fanned shots... nerves
