GDT: Sweden vs Cesko

We sent 10 players born in 2004 and 1 born in 2005. It was truly a B team. And it stood up well against other teams who sent their best. Lots of respect to the boys.
f*** sake, those players born in 2004 and 2005 were truly Swedens best options because the 2003 generation is weak. Just f***ing deal with it.

And let’s give credit where due - you Swedes were the better team this time around.

But Suchanek the savior bailed us out, in overime he took it to the next level!
Thanks mate. Very small margins in a tournament like this. Could have gone either way. But still happy with what this team has done.

Was waiting for salt boy to show up.lol
Huh? I legitimately do root for the Czech Republic after Germany in hockey, but this ceremony bullshit has been getting on my nerves for a while. Just play the damn anthem for the winners and let the losers lick their wounds in the dressing room

What a backhanded congrats
I'm quite frustrated, this wasn't like a group match where Lindbom kept hope of winning. Here, Sweden was not a worse team in 60 minutes. If the course was the same as the group match, it is much better, there would be almost no frustration.

And I stand by the fact that the Czechs should definitely beat this Swedish team. They didn't do it..on the contrary, they were a little bit away from losing.

Nah this wasn’t the year. Weak 03s. Next year looks a lot better (hopefully).

Anyway. If I haven’t said it yet Congrats Czechia! And the best of luck against the North americans tomorrow. (Cesko? Seriously what do you want me to write it seems like that name has been changed like three times in as many years)

Huh, this was just as close as the group stage game, luckily for the Czech team the OT went the opposite way this time. It was as close as could be. Half of the puck was over the goal line after one Sweden shot in the OT. You can barely imagine anything closer to scoring a goal in hockey.

The Czech were trailing for almost entire 2 periods, gave their all in their third, the overtime was all about complete exhaustion on the Czech side. The key players were barely moving their legs. I believe they were rather waiting for the SO, but managed to capitalize on one nice play across the offensive blue line.

I would especially emphasize Jiříček"s and Kulich's performances. Both showed up as true leaders today. Jiříček with the equalizer, Kulich with the OT winner, both were playing huge minutes in the third period, were not afraid to take the responsibility when needed. When Svozil, our best defenseman in the previous games, was looking really exhausted and barely skating, Jiříček didn't hesistate to step up, take the responsibility and make bold plays which turned out to be decisive. The same with Kulich. If they stay healthy and on their track, they have both bright future ahead.

don’t worry bro, next cup we will send our best. Missing your entire blue line and still being this good. Wow. Swedish hockey have lots of depth.

I said a few years ago I really thought Germany and Switzerland were going to leapfrog Czechs and Slovaks in the hockey world by the 2030. They had a very long dry spell of talent since the golden era.

I am so glad to see them reestablish themselves and have success and pumping out great prospects again, happy for them. They are so important to hockey’s history :)

Why are you writing this? Injuries are a part of hockey, also the fact that an NHL club does not always have to let a player go to this tournament. These are adverse circumstances, nothing more. No B team, I reject that, that kind of excuse. But it's good that even with this composition, this team was 40 seconds from the final, that's a big thing.
