Virtually anyone playing at the WC level can be signed to a 2-way contract, the real question is does the player want to play in the AHL for 1/2 of the salary. Which I assume most players do not unless they feel they have a good chance to be called up to the NHL at least for stretches to make up for the lost money.

Yes, I assume someone like Koch, who has played for a very strong team this year and has now signed with an absolute powerhouse Trinec, is being paid around double the amount of the regular AHLer.
