Yes, exactly. Doing a move like that with NHLers lurking behind you is 100× harder than doing it against other teenagers and non-NHLers at the World Champs.

In some ways, a part of me wishes that Svech did that in Toronto or Boston. I saw the "Any amateur can do it!" hot take on YouTube. And once again, I asked them if it was so f***ing easy, why no one successfully pulled it off in an NHL game until yesterday. Yes, these folks really do exist in REEEEEAL Hockey Towns.

I think some redditors broke it down and showed the stick never touched his mask. Stick hit his shoulder and the puck hit the mask.

It isn't high sticking if it is a follow through on a shooting motion. The fact that the puck went in the goal pretty much makes that a shooting motion.
