They'be been doing that since NXT. Problem isn't the number of matches since they've done it for some time, but the talent involved. I also think Rhea's injury didn't help in the build up to the match.
even then it was dumb having twice the same match in one night. i feel the same way about MITB

It felt ho-hum with nothing important happening. It's the same way I felt about Full Gear. Hoping for something like a cash in or return or turn then nothing happening feels like a let down even if it's my own fault I am let down because my expectations were too high.

There were a few times that a loud jt Miller chant broke out in the arena.

Did it come through on the television side?

I really enjoyed the show

  • Woman's War Games was great, loved the tandem Swanton and Moonsault by Tiffy and Iyo.
  • Glad LA Knight lost, the repackaged Nakamura needed this win to give the character legitimacy.
  • Liked the Gunther/Priest match too, Gunther still slowly turning face, or maybe just into a tweener. Finn and Priest in HiaC at WrestleMania w/ the return of the Demon would be dope. I hope after teh next draft they end up on different shows.
  • The IC Triple threat was fun, I laughed when Cole let his "hoiy shit" slip out.
  • Men's War Games was awesome. It sucks both Bronson Reed and Jimmy got injured on their big spots. Jimmy has a broken toe, and Reed has an ankle injury that needs an MRI (or "further scans" that I assume is an MRI), but if he's out for a couple months, the timing is ideal as the Royal Rumble is 2 months away. Can't wait to find out what the favor is.... I'm guessing it's Heyman leaving Roman and rejoining Punk

To each their own but I didn’t think the womens war games match was good.
It was death until Io got in. War Games needs work rate people in there early before everyone starts throwing in weapons, and then they gave the faces the advantage. Nia Jax obviously ain’t gonna provide that.

The first bit was basically Nia fumbling around trying to figure out where to be, delivering WCW Hogan chair shots and then 2-3 of the women doing stuff with their butts. It was super weird.

yeah whoever had the brilliant idea of sending Nia out first only to see her blow up 5 minutes in should be fired.

was prob Michael PS Hayes' idea after downing 2 bottles of Jack

This was my second ever live event and first in decades. No idea the storylines going in

I don't follow wrestling full time anymore but was surprised by the lack of real star power... No Cody Rhodes? No Canadian Kevin Owens? Heck no one even cut a promo.

Most of the matches were good...but it seemed low key, Survivor Series was always one of the top 3

You generally don't get promos on shows like this, and with how long the war games matches are from entrances to bell, not a lot of room for any either.

Cody and KO were held back so they can main event Saturday Main Event which is being built pretty much as another PPV.

Survivor Series has for almost its entire existence has been the show of least consequence of the original 4 WWF PPVs unfortunately.

The Rumble, Summerslam, and Mania obviously are just treated as bigger deals.

HHH apparently said it was a timeline of weeks. Reed tweeted out today how injuries are temporary but moments last forever so I'm guessing it's not like catastrophic serious.

Also Jacob is apparently totally OK. He just fooled everyone again with his selling

Those are good news at least, hopefully Reed can at least be back in time for the Rumble

You can see he f***ed up the spot. He landed close to feet first and really bent his ankles badly.

A guy that size, he is lucky it's not way worse.

Obvious why they wanted to do it, but hindsight not sure it's a great idea for anyone that big to be doing spots that high.

Yeah I would have preferred he just gone from the top rope
