Such an exciting season of Survivor upcoming! Australian Survivor vs. The World! Unfortunately this won't be a full season... 14 castaways and only 15 days of gameplay. I don't quite understand how they will go through 14 players in 15 days, but the cast is absolutely star-studded so far. The first 6 castaways have been announced!

Parvati Shallow, Tony Vlachos, and Cirie Fields

Really disappointing to see how short this season is, but my God I love George and can't wait to see him back in his element.

This season will also feature players from other places in the world, South Africa, Norway, and New Zealand.

Is this Australian Survivor or American Survivor? I'm confused.
It's Australian Survivor and the season theme is "Australia vs. The World" so the core of the players will be Australian and will be competing with/against a group of players from several other countries.

Will be hosted by the normal Aussie host Jonathan LaPaglia.

Unless they're on top of an active volcano, I don't get the super short time either
It’s really a damper on what should be an amazing season. I’m holding out hope this was a mistake lol

Australia needs to salvage its national pride after "breakdancer" Rachael Gunn turned the world against them last month. :D

I don't know much about the Aussie cast other than the two seasons I watched, but it seems like they have a big advantage in terms of being able to form some sort of aussie pride alliance. I know from watching Aussie Survivor and reality shows in general that the Aussie people have much better sportsmanship than the American contestants and don't take things personally nearly as much.

As a result I can see a scenario where the Aussie members are all buddies going in to the show. ON the other hand, we have several USA contestants who are coming into the show with bitter rivalries with each other. Cirie and Parvati don't get along (not sure if that has been ironed out with the appearance on Traitors). None of them trust Tony. And with all these other countries repped they won't be going in with pre-formed alliannces like the Aussies will.

Mostly I'm looknig forward to seeing David and Luke team up again. Hopefully they aren't painted as massive targets and have a chance of sticking around long term.
