I'm just thinking about it in regard to the Chiefs not knowing what they need to win. They might be more open to taking a FG than if they know they need a TD to win the game. Make Mahomes start at the 25 yard line rather than you going 3 and out and punting and then Mahomes just needs a FG.

I totally get that. On the other hand, with a TD, he would have put immense pressure on SanFran.

I just think you want to win the game, you gotta take it yourself and not hope for Mahomes to lose it to you.

Let's see what happens, but I think that FG could have been too little. Niners missed two crucial 3&4s.

Yes, it's actually admirable. He truly has that final boss feeling to him. I would be shocked if he made a game deciding mistake, has to be someone else with a fumble.
