One play from being over. I understand the tired defense argument but I absolutely would have kicked off to start OT.

If both teams score the same amount of points, the team receiving first would have the advantage.

And honestly, I think in OT, you gotta stop with the overthinking. Take the ball, shove it down their throats and set the tone.

I'm just thinking about it in regard to the Chiefs not knowing what they need to win. They might be more open to taking a FG than if they know they need a TD to win the game. Make Mahomes start at the 25 yard line rather than you going 3 and out and punting and then Mahomes just needs a FG.
