Very happy with this matchup, would be perfectly fine with either team winning.

But think that Carolina will eek out a win. 30-24 Carolina.

Even entering the Steelers-Broncos game last week that was guaranteed to happen again this year. It's rather insane, and a testament to how well those franchises are run.

There is no parity in the AFC playoffs, unless you count the Broncos replacing the Colts as parity.

Still makes me laugh that the exception was Joe friggin' Flacco.

Would have been 13/13 if not for Rahim Moore not having a clue what he was doing on that long throw.

I agree Cam is prone to phony behavior, he loves the attention, we all knew that at the draft, we all knew that when he was interviewed by Deon Sanders that he loved the sound of his own voice

but,

When Warren Moon said that a lot of the criticism of Cam was racially motivated, I 100% agreed. That type of personality has nothing to do with ability as a player, hell it doesn't make him that much different then Big ben

I think the fact that he had to answer for guys like Jamarcus and Vince Young says a lot, whether its subconcious or not, people do lump black qbs together.

Its a similar thing with white receivers. When Chris Wesseling compared Brian Hartline to Jordy Nelson during a breakout year on twitter, I tweeted at him that they were coincidently both white. He got angry and told me to come up with a better comparison if I didn't like it. I said "Eric Decker" and he blocked me.

Only time I dont really take issue with it is say a comparison between Tyrod Taylor and Russell, because they absolutely do play alike.

Haha.

I remember many people on this very board laughing when Newton was drafted first overall nearly 5 years ago saying he would bust, wouldn't live up to the hype, was more concerned with his brand blah blah blah.

Cam will win this first MVP award and should win his first Super Bowl in 2 weeks. No doubt the people that ripped into him on draft day here will not come back to admit they were wrong.

A non-Brady/Manning/Roethlisberger QB coming out of the AFC is such a rarity that Joe Flacco got the biggest contract in NFL history after he did it

Let that sink in

**** happens. Had Marlon Mccree decided to fall down Peyton doesn't make it in 2006 and it is still 12/13. That was a bigger mistake than Moore's play.

Don't have any interest in this for the 2nd straight year...different reason this time than not liking the teams. This time it's the QBs. Though I do think the Panthers are a little too cocky. But I'd normally be okay with them.

The line of -6 is a joke and personally I think the wring team is favored. Denver doesn't have the better QB today anyway....but they do have the better defense. They shut down the patriots yesterday for the most part outside of a gift and a late drive that needed a lucky 4th down bomb and a TD catch on 4th and goal. They totally shut down the short passes. Other "solid" defenses haven't been able to do that. The patriots had one good drive all day at the end and they started that at midfield and had to complete a bomb on 4th down and 10.

5 years ago, the Panthers and Broncos were picking 1-2 in the draft. Now they're playing for a SB. Amazing what can be accomplished in a short timeframe for well-run teams.

Side note, damn that 2011 draft is strong: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_NFL_draft

Or in Denver's case you get Peyton. Hate the guy but I would have to say I doubt they win yesterday with Osweiler.

I don't see how Carolina doesn't steamroll Denver. Can't believe the line is only 4.5.

who is the 'home' team?

which jerseys will each team wear?

broncos have never won a super bowl whilst wearing their orange jerseys

I think we're the "home" team. And I'd be surprised if we didn't go with the whites... even though the orange are my favorites. That ugly history you mentioned... superstitious bout these thangs.
