Argentina wins 4-2 in shootout. Excellent game by Ecuador. They are a really fast team.

Argentina gets to Semi-finals.

So.. what's the argument for no overtime? kinda sucks to be honest.

For the majority of Copa America's history, which has been won by Argentina and Uruguay the most, extra-time has not been utilised after the group stage, except for in the grand finale.

Between 1995-2004, the same rule even applied for the final, with Uruguay and Brazil both winning tournaments in that period on penalties after the game finished all square after ninety minutes. The only tournament that saw the inclusion of extra-time in all knockout games was in 2011. However, this was widely criticised by fans and the usual state of play was reinstated by the time the competition returned in 2015.

In your head
Who will make the first big mistake in defense ? John Attentat and Rudiger or La Puerta and El Normendo ? They are all prone to bone head mistakes.

Jesus Christ Anthony Taylor did you get even one call right FFS.
Book the first two German clear cut yellows and you'd have control of this match.
It's a f***ing joke nobody knows what a yellow looks like anymore.
You missed four obvious yellows and I think three you gave were a farce.
Calling a foul on a Spanish player who is breaking for daylight when he didn't even touch the defender.

f*** OFF UEFA
