That depends on what they do. Origi is gone. Minamino has had some twitter rumblings about maybe looking to move (though who knows). I think the Fulham kid can play some minutes for Liverpool now. Even so, they would be one light at least.

If they break the bank for a midfielder, I think they could get by without replacing someone up front. But that would be a bit of a gamble.

I think it all depends on what they feel is the best tact. Having Diaz, Jota and to a lesser extent Carvalho in house, it’s an easier situation to deal with. You should go get someone, but you’re not gonna do it with a gun to your head.

Honestly the more I think about it, the more I believe the club is likely ok with the situation and have done little to discourage it. I would not be shocked if FSG had a conversation with his reps and said if he’s looking for a challenge, we won’t stop it.

They’re not going to not replace him. Everyone at the club learned from the Sterling deal not to do that.

There is a gun to their head but they do have the money to get Nunez. So that’s what they should do.

Yes they are not only losing Mane.

They are losing : Mane, Origi, Minamino and Ox too.

There will be significant minutes to replace there.

Klopp also seemed not worried about next season even though he knows Mane is going to leave, he’s also praised Nunez repeatedly since they played us. That’s what they will try to do.

I don’t think Bayern has the money to pay for Mane, unless the deal would be very cheap. May be posturing for a new contract.

One team I don't worry about their recruitment is Liverpool.
They're the best in the business IMO.

Not that there was a bid, but Spurs would never have accepted it
Meh. If that’s the guy, LFC finds a way. Either way, especially if Son is/was a target, LFC is not going to go cheap here to replace Mane.

If they want more of a central player, maybe the get into the Darwin battle. If they go wide, I still think Saka is for the taking until he signs a new deal. Especially with Arsenal being in a weak position being out of UCL. LFC will have options

Hell why not try to get Lewandowski in this deal? We know he wants to go and if Bayern is getting Mane cut price anyway why not try to get creative. If Bayern know Barca tapped Lewandowski up, they probably would rather send to LFC out of spite.

Then and there
Tuchel granted a 200M transfer kitty from Lord Boehly himself.

Really want: Dembele (free), Koundé, Koulibaly and Cucurella (Man City posing a threat).

Kouli is an upgrade on Rüdiger, Koundé is a massive boost over Azpi, Cucurella is a boost over Alonso (who I really liked actually) and Dembele provides creativity for our forwards that we've been lacking since Hazard left.

Links to Bissouma and Raheem Sterling are interesting as well.

Really need the sanctions to be uplifted so the gears can officially begin churning.

Chelsea also gets 15M from Real Madrid for the Hazard sale after winning the CL.

Because he is stuck at Spuds
Hilarious narrative considering that he renewed his contract last summer. That despite knowing that he would have a football terrorist as a manager. He was more than happy to stay then, and even more so now under Conte.

How is it narrative. What has he won at Tottenham? Liverpool is a much bigger club and that would be even bigger move for Son stardom if he went LFC. LFC is one of the biggest clubs in the world. Tottenham is not even the biggest club in London. I’m sure he is comfortable there, which is fine, but let’s not pretend that it wouldn’t be an upgrade for Sonny, even if it would hurt your team if he left.

It's a hilarious narrative because there is zero proof that he considers himself "stuck" and wants to leave. Despite the club being in an awful state last summer he renewed.

Nothing has shown Son wants or wanted to move.

That said, a contract renewal doesn’t mean a bunch. You can take a new contract and still agitate for a move if an offer comes. It’s only recently that some players are winding the deals down to walk without a sanctioned move

I didn’t say there was evidence that he wanted to move. I said Liverpool is a upgrade to Tottenham. I stand by that. Contract renewals don’t mean anything except for a raise unless the other teams uses it to hold a player hostage. It is better for players to be at higher profile clubs for endorsements so yes, if LFC wanted Sonny it’s sucks for Sonny if he can’t get that move.
