Saltwire (which covers NFLD/Labrador) says Port Aux Basques is underwater/STATE OF EMERGENCY declared and multiple buildings destroyed as Fiona arrived at 9 AM ET

my son is in Halifax, has already lost power but we purchased he and his roomate 2 large coolers, 2 flashlights and 2 lanterns online Monday from the Canadian Tire near him so he can put enough food in both , he and his roommate have a BBQ and light, they can snuggle for warmth:)

yup, Halifax Harbour made Weekend Recharge, the weekend show on the Weather Channel, now the US is bracing for Ian which may spare SE Florida.....

This could be a blessing in disguise- if they roll the rocket back to the VAB (and I think they will, no way do they leave that huge rocket out there in the middle of a hurricane) they'll have the opportunity to work on that hydrogen leak issue. 🚀

Ian is making me nervous for Pensacola. Right now they aren't in the cone, barely, but it has been trending father west lately and I could see it taking the same path as Ivan in 2004. What are the odds of the same town getting hit by Ivan and Ian??

AccuWeather has it tracking north of Tampa closer to the panhandle but always have a plan and don't wait too late to bail. AccuWeather shows it making landfall up there as a Cat1.

(Which can change pretty much anytime as new data comes in)
